This record is messing with my mind -- I was in high school when Lightfoot and Young were both in the charts.

I think I need A Letter Home when it gets a general release. Had no idea Neil Young dug Gordon Lightfoot. Early Morning Rain was one of the first songs I learned.

Hey Bob, could have used your advice last weekend. I spent my Record Store Day hunting around Northrrn va. and had good time

@tomB: Skip's Record & CD World has two copies in stock [according to their website]. The site is a bit of a pain-in-the-ass to navigate. Click "Search" on the homepage and enter Ronnie Spector and it'll pull the record up. www.gotocdworld.com

Hi Therese and all. Interesting to hear how a tune gets worked over, and over. Isn't this also the melody for "Tell Me Where It's At" and also Sugar Shack?

Neil did quite a bit of that stuff at Carnegie Hall

My favorite cover of AATWT (after Hendrix's) is Neil Young's. He takes his repetitive note style into a transcendental place.

That "ET" game was a terribly confusing game. It took the confusion crown from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" for the 2600. "Yar's Revenge" was also kind of confusing but it made cool noises.
Avatar 1:14am
Whooda:

Haha, that 'modern day' archaeology dig for Atari ET cartridges is too strange for fiction. I'm glad we found them before our alien progeny did 10,000 years from now. Maybe we will destroy them more effectively this time.

If he finds a Sinistar cartridge for the 2600 I hope he nabs it for me. There are varying tales about whether or not cartridges were ever mass-produced. I've seen a few prototype cartridges of a still-in-development version of the game. I've heard that the development was completed and cartridge production was underway when the plug was pulled on the 2600 system. Those cartridges were allegedly destroyed, but it's just as likely that they're in a New Mexico landfill.
