Sounds ripped from cassettes & CDs found in immigrant-run mom & pop stores. Deconstructed icons. Field recordings. Sonic mayhem from the far corners of the internet.

Given the total of my current footwear = my beloved almost all purpose dansko clogs & a pair of $9 dog-walkin'/snow shovellin' sneakers, I think not! ;-)

@Jill, I hate saying this, but I need a car before I need boots. Was f*cked over by recent car purchase, car died after a mere 6 months when it needed to (& was expected to) last a minimum of 5 years. I'm self-employed & have a 20 mile range of clients...
Anyway, done with work tonight , will be leaving you in a few minutes to walk down the street from this cafe & pick up a previously-ordered most excellent NY-style 16'' pizza to bring home. Have not yet figured out how I'm going to carry large pizza, my large laptop, and large bag of lunch detritus and random shit uphill for a mile, but whatever. And yes, the pizza crust will make me ill, but it will be worth it!!

BUT may have 1st dibs on VW something (bug? rabbit? golf?) that local indie record store owner is giving to local indie rocker for parts, once rocker takes his parts (none of them engine related), I may get the the car for price of a coil something. This went down as I was walking home... Durham is still pretty cool.
