The 60s were fine. But when people refer to “the 60s” it really means late 1960s to early 1970s. In contrast the 1980s was 100% in the 1980s. THE MORE YOU KNOW!

70ies also sucked me.

i would have completely hated the 80ies if not for my own activities.

clasic post-punk-period 1978/82 was exiting.
afterwards everything seemed to doom.
that's why i don't like much of the music of that period, which should have been the soundtrack of my live.

the 90ies were kind of relief from a curse in the music world with a lot of innovations goung on.

Used to be my stock joke with David Lindelof (Damon's father), whenever we would imagine a movie and were mentally casting it, I would always pick Alan Arkin to play anything.

HEY. Just hepped the folks on Dougs playlist to my dashi recipe and thought some peoples on this list might be interested (looking at you Keili!):

5 cups water
4" piece of dried kombu
1/2 cup bonito flakes or 1/2 oz of dried shitakes

Bring kombu and mushrooms to boil. Remove kombu before boil. Simmer 5 minutes. If using fish flakes, add when you remove kombu, turn off heat and let sit until flakes sink. Strain.

You're welcome.
