Looking at today's date, 1/24/2014, there is kind of a pattern going on. Start with a 1 (a one-digit number). Then we have a two- and four-digit numbers. Take the 1 and double it for 2 and double that for 4. 2 & 4 appear twice with a 0 & 1 added in the last part. Cool, huh?

OK. This is how the Knyfe Hyts story goes:
It's 9:30pm on a school night. My 15 year old daughter is in bed, sleeping. The doorbell rings. I go to the door and standing there is a strapping young man way too old or young for anyone in this house. He says, "Is Kiley here?" I say, "Are you looking for "DJ KAYLEE? 15 year old KAYLEE?" he looks shocked at that news and says, "Yes?" I say, "she has to be at 9th grade in the morning, Can I help you?" He says, "Oh. Well I brought this music from our band for her." I say, "well, thanks! I'll make sure she gets it!" and he thanks me and leaves. He was SOOOO CUTE! SO HANDSOME! i was dying.

I watched the tail end of that Salinger docu...need to watch the entirety later on..but yeah he was a very strange duck to put it mildly. Talk about Asperger's/Sociopath and etc. etc. He just was a mess. Although a lot of people also cannot handle fame and cult obsessive fame .... a la Cobain et al. Not unusual.

look at HPL's upbringing, a total disaster, and parents both gone mad later on and all that stuff. Those things you cannot help. And then there's horror writer Ramsey Campbell who had similar upbringing and his dad was there but "not there" and crazy, and his mom went mad later I think, also. But he turned out ok!

@ LovecraftD: I'll be curious to hear what you think of Catcher, the "classic" book by this creepy, "Asberger's/sociopath" guy, that "speaks" to a lot of American adolescents but which I was Never impressed by: overrated, shallow, creepy. Mark David Chapman's Bible. Re: HPL's unhappy upbringing and life: sadly common as you say. Robert E Howard, the Conan guy, is another example that comes to mind
