La Sabrosa Sabrosura plays what it calls "Cumbiabomba". Just what is Cumbiabomba? We hear it may involve a significant dose of cumbia, plus a bit of funk, a dash of Jamaican sounds, and maybe a sprinkling of electronics. If not for snow we would have found out two weeks ago. Happily we have another chance: We've rebooked this high-energy Mexico City outfit for tonight (Saturday). After the radio show, you can continue your course in Cumbiabomba when La Sabrosa Sabrosura plays on a massive multi-artist Barbes Records / Electric Cowbell showcase at Drom in the East Village on Saturday Jan 11th.
