A live, improvised sound collage experiment, going back 28 years, weaving mesmerizing new soundscapes from found and collected materials right in the present moment.
Pop music, speeches, live phone calls and spontaneous monologues become ambient loopy layered threads riding the liminal spaces between waking and dreaming. [On hiatus.]

More women might spend even their precious leisure time commenting / listening with an honest loyalty if the community did a better job with a supportive atmosphere. Just offering an observation.

What a joke.

Amazing how they all refuse to answer his question about his legal rights, even when he states that he will answr any question he is legally required to ask.
I know, evryone here knows that.

It wasn't a mistake to ask them was he legally required to answer the question.
He did this purposefully and for a reason.

In general, I agree with your "tell die polizei nothing" comment.

@kat: on that topic, the main WFMU page has many prolific female commentators. (I comment more once the office starts emptying out).

Late replies! -->
@kat330: Thanks for the volume-adjusting suggestion. Today there were some levels challenges since I didn't have the special volume button with me. I have subsequently eliminated the need to have such button ever again!
@Mike Noble: I don't use any live-audio software (like Traktor/etc.). Just basic players akin to a sea of turntables and tape decks, and it's on me to do something interesting with that. I do write a lot of software to make it work better, and to make the live playlist w/accurate timestamps possible straight from my live sampling (to say nothing of the live playlist software I wrote earlier for the website...). Today I wrote software to fix this week's levels problem for the future!
@Bliss: I like the trap-door-at-show idea, except instead of sliding out to the sidewalk, you wind up in a random world far away.
@Mike Noble: DC not so far away...good idea to play there! Welcome to the show.
@kat330: If I used your piece this week, it was in a sample from one of the earlier shows sampled. Thanks for otherworldly astronomy photos.
@listener james from westwood: Long live Grandpa Al Lewis! And, happy to hypnotize.
@kat330: You're describing a vast capitalist phenomenon about desk wage slavery in general. No gender escapes it outside of the upper classes!
Hello and thanks again to the nice mystery callers, listener james, Bliss, Ike, kat330, David, Mike, cklequ, northguineahills, duke, Revolution Rabbit Nov63, Give the Drummer Doug, Bryan in Austin, and all the other beings out there!

"You're note going to solve them with the current system, at least facetiousness is funny."
ha.ha.ha, hilarious. Thanks k. I don't think I have ever heard of Russell Brand, but will be looking into anything else he's said or done, now.
I don't know why i am never here in the time that you are there. work. looking for work. art. looking for art. breathing. looking for breathing. i never thought i could miss so much life while looking for it.
i hope happiness in all you find.
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@northguineahills: FMU Main page? I'm quite familiar with "main page" shows and, no, there are not "many prolific female commentators" day to day except a couple during the 40-hr. U.S. work week when at their jobs. There are a few others loyal to a specific DJ, but not like yourself or Rabbit all over the grid.
@James: At least you're splitting work and chatting. :) [Besides, I believe you work for yourself as do I -- completely different from being paid by another to do this thing here.]
@Kenzo: re: "describing a vast capitalist phenomenon" -- I don't think you're getting my drift, which is about females on lists and in what circumstance they're more likely to appear. There's certainly no lack of male "desk jockeys" also on the lists, but that wasn't my specific point. Email if still confused. :)
Droll:
The archives are more interesting, or at least more surprising, when the DJ is talking to me, even though I won't hear it for days. Still, I don't expect anyone else to come back to read or reply to my comments because only you get a notification.
There is lots of post-show chatter on this playlist, and it looks like a bunch of MUD @commands, but they're really just faux-Twitter @'s. FMU MUD!
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):
They'll reply to your comments because your comments will happen next Wednesday.
