all i remember from my last move was the fact that the landlord fucked up the gas hookup on my stove. joint smelled like a gasworks and they refused to believe they were the cause. it took a call to the power co. to fix it. 2 weeks of nothing from the landlord, but pse&g got there in 15 min even as they were unfucking fresh tropical storm floyd damage across nj. set the tone for my landlord interactions for several years.

glenn: the resident manager/fix-it person who did the landlord's work was a surly do-nothing who couldn't find his own ass in the dark. fortunately he was flushed like a bad turd in the mid-2000s, and some years later the bldg. was bought by a management co. with a staff of very talented maintenance folks.
