I think that 'out-of-tune' voices appeal because the 'in-tune' traditional singing is 99% of what people hear. So, the unconventional singers are, pretty simply, more interesting to me in general? Maybe. I've got nothing against traditionally-great singers, either, but I'm sorta open to everything maybe? Maybe a short attention span? I don't know...
Actually I think I'm addicted to hearing/discovering new-t0-me music/sounds...

- I have wondered out loud if anyone has used Autotune yet to put something *out* of tune to sound *authentic*...

I've seen TG Gondard use autotune pedals live, in part because they won't stay properly configured for long. That adds an element of randomness that I like a lot, though you can't call that *authentic*

- they each have their own Musical Scale - in fact corresponding to the Metaphysics ('Music of the Spheres' sort of idea)
- hence the use of what 'we' (WesternEuropean cultural tradition) call 'microtones' & such - & the 'blue note' in African-American music that is both/neither Major or Minor (- is it Happy or Sad?)
- & in fact this is true for Tonalities / Timbres as well (the desirability of a twang or a buzz as opposed to a 'pure' sound)
- so what is 'in tune' is subjective & a big subject anyhow !...
