Favoriting Bryce: Playlist from August 2, 2013 Favoriting

I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Nature, artifice and art

It is my belief that every artist wants to instil "quiddity" in his work that is inexplicable and constitutes a sign of the uniqueness of his talent: inner voice, soul.

Thus, the degree of pure and infinite love of expression is often revealed in music through the most moving “particular” composition and/or interpretation that tends to conceal the inner heaven and is its power in action.

Undoubtedly, a hidden and otherwise inexpressible quality, it becomes a clearly distinguishable element in each of us.

Indeed, in the secret of the heart, and in the laboratory (Ora, lege et labora), it carries out a great and glorious task; from the multiplicity of the “raw material” provided by nature (vibrating bellies, harmonics, numbers and proportions…), it rises to the completion of the event, by manipulating and strategic artifices, psycho-physical devices and whatever else belongs to the inventive genius.

Ultimately, this is a unique and binding choice because of its inevitability which is inscribed in the wake of one’s thoughts, imposing order, priority and level.

In the microcosm of a work of art, where everything flourishes without damage, the conflict between spirit and matter can be expressed, without choosing between them, in the fullness of an unbound thought.

Art begins, in fact, with one’s own artifice, where nature ceases to act.

—Fernando Grillo

chris, yeah, he was an amazing musician & composer. lots of great composers wrote stuff specifically for him, because of his unparalleled, sensitive virtuosity.

really, really sad news. surprised there's so little news about his passing.

On a more inconsequential note, why, oh why, do the stars no longer do a little rotation jiggle when you click them? A little joy has been sapped from reality. Well, from virtual reality anyway. We must all thwack Kenzo with pungent overripe asparagus until he restores the stellar jig.

Robot Ghost, it's no surprise! only ever had two records under his own name (that i know of), and there isn't terribly much about him on the english internet. what can you do?
