This kind of traditional market is fast disappearing in parts of the UK, being replaced with "shops outdoors". I found the woman calling "Come on help yourself where you like - you can't do that everywhere" intriguing. She was referring to customers selecting their own fruit and vegetables from the stall, rather than being given what they were given. This market is a mix of more traditional produce stalls (fruit, vegetables, herbs, meat, etc) and guys selling mobile phones, software, CDs and so on.  * ***   1:47:43 (MP3 | Pop-up)

- because Ganja is Prohibited in U.S. it can't be researched - but in Israel they have found that it has chemicals like the natural ones in the brain that help us forget. Big surprise, sure - but some people can't forget - a disorder - every ugly face on the subway...PTSD is a sort-of inability to Forget. It also struck me as key to the nature of the Psychedelic Experience: Not best for memorizing something new - but good for a clean slate creatively - & for stepping right out of yourself - forgetting yourSelf - & seeing things from two feet to one side, as it were...
- But yes - how do we remember not to forget what we know everyone should really remember...& then you die (?)...

- sure, Meditation - but only after taking LSD. Prob. got close to it in remote youth - just from reading about it & contemplation. For example - read Huxley (& say, Jung) before taking Psychedelics - 'Cosmic Consciousness' by Richard M. Bucke I think
...but all of this - drugs included - so very long ago. (Bucke makes correlation w/ Youthfulness in most cases.)
- Now - in mid-life in 21st Century - it's just what Huxley laid out in 'Heaven & Hell'. I just wanna be HomerSimpson - work (well, I must - Stimulants), come home, get naked, Forget/ - anaesthetize...

- Ritual & Ceremonial Magick seem to be mostly about changing one's Consciousness thru Focus & *something* like Trance
- by which I do not mean to negate it: I just refer to Jung saying Archetypes are Living as well as Archaic, & leave it @ that...
- Watts had to Work & Drank as well...

Well, that's what I hoped you meant. Yeah, it's kind of impossible what I'm doing. And I keep being reminded that almost nobody believes it. Someone asked to sit in on my show last week and watch. So at least he believes it now.

In fact, I don't believe it. I video the process so I can go back and watch if I ever doubt.
