@glenn The tap tells everyone you have a card with a chip, they watch registers. You are marginally safer by pretending the card is old school.

Marginally safer, not safe. When my card got hacked I didn't even know it, it was a third party processor's info that got stolen online. The important thing is to not be on the hook for any false charges.
