Fortunately I had made one; usually I have a mental list and just flip through all the records. So I gave them my phone so they could see my list. About half an hour later the clerk returned with my total. ugh I spent more than I intended. It would have been nice to know how much those records were going to be ahead of time so I could have prioritized what I purchased to stay within a set budget. So long story short...I feel your pain amEdeo.

	12:56am KP: The place where Scharpling DJ'd had similar setup. A list with items crossed out. Not crossed out, you could buy it. No prices so I ended up with Built to Spill for $29.
	12:56am Droll: A record store where you don't flip through LPs yourself? You have to know what you want in advance and bring a list? No browsing? Really?
	12:57am amEdeo: oh wow, that is kind of crumbum-y of them. Iris had the records out in crates. Only wound up buying a few RSD specific things, but then I wound up going through the rest of the crates.... and then the dollar ones they put outside. Yep.
	12:58am KP: That was generation records. The Livids played, very good. Of course only the RSD stuff was like that
	1:00am KP: Hit two places. Brian Turner was at Kim's in east village, Tom in west.
	1:00am amEdeo: Wow really, Generation too? Is that just standard RSD protocol? Seems like such a counterintuitive idea to not show prices.
	1:02am KP: No. Kim's was not like that. Revolution Records had a line out door all day.
	1:06am KP: Got the Doors/X. Clear vinyl. Very cool. It was like $6 at Kim's
	1:07am Therese: In NYC, it seems to be a 50/50 split between the stores that display the special releases and those who have them behind the corner.
	1:09am BadGuyZero: The store I go to in Dallas used to only let five people in the store for the first three hours. When one left another person was let in. I guess enough people complained about because now they have put all the RSD releases in one section and control how many people are in that area at any given time. The store I went to in Denver a couple of years ago had everything in two bins at the front of the store. It was insane. You know those videos they show on the evening news of stores opening for Black Friday? That's exactly what it was like. I don't necessarily have an issue with a clerk being the only person that can pull your selections. But at least provide a list with prices so we can select what we want while we're waiting in line. Most of the clerks at the store I was at were refusing to assist anyone whose list was on their cellphone. Jerks.
	1:11am amEdeo: Oh yeah. I always forget that Kim's exist. I really shouldn't, but I do... I even had a dream about it once.
	1:12am BadGuyZero: I also went to the Numero Group's pop-up shop in Logan Park. They only had the RSD items released on the label which included a 10-inch and some cassettes that were only available at that pop-up store. A friend in Dallas had asked me to try to get one of the 10-inches for them. Success!
	1:12am KP: Last year on LI, my local place had it all it one big cardboard box. They'd hand the box to you, you'd hand it off. Got what I wanted though. Gene Clark of course.
