That Deux Filles was just what i needed...
WFMU is constantly opening my eyes to records i could have bought for pennies when they first came out that sell for hundreds of dollars these days. What was i listening to back then?
Avatar 4:24am

@KP That's not Jersey City is it?
Avatar 4:24am

Avatar 4:30am
kim (germland):

and then tull
Avatar 4:32am
Bill Mac:

Timewise they certainly do - I was a bigger fan of Heep until Sweet Freedom I think. If you took all of their best material, you'd have one really good album. I like them better then Deep Purple though
Avatar 4:34am
KP:

You know bill, working in jersey city all that time, and seeing the station, I really grew to appreciate the place. I liked idea of being so close but still having suburban comforts, not to mention the station over the air. But I dont make those decisions.
Avatar 4:36am

KP Here's hoping that we're still here for awhile... door's always open bud.
Avatar 4:36am

in 80ish there was a cool iranian restaurant in jersey city / edgewater, along the river, with belly dancers on the weekends but I'd 'spect it's history

Rolling Stone's first big rock/photo book had a shot that purported to be only known one of Ian Hunter w/o sunglasses. It was Mick Box of Uriah Heep. Hunter might have laughed at that but he could not have been flattered.

@cklequ - was wondering how you were getting on. An afternoon half hour "in the chair" usually sorts out my early rising on a Saturday morning.

@Jay; For some reason i opted out of seeing that when it was showing here. Even though i had no idea what it was about, the poster turned me off to it. Watching that accordion scene is making me think i missed out on something.
