The little plastic lock-in tab on my old DSL cord busted off a few weeks ago, and if I bump the laptop it jiggles out and I lose stream. UGH, gotta get another cord! Such is laziness...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
G:

No, no. 14 is what 8 + 6 is... :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm

Brian: it's the flip of 7+7, but it's been so long since I've listened to it that I can't remember what it is.

Takes me back, I bought Da Capo on Disques Vogues in Biarritz in western France in '68. Thought I was dead cool having a French copy.

I try and try to compare this singer to his backing group, and it can't be done. It just can't!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm
pacific standard simon:

Wikipedia says "No. 14" is "an out-take from the band's earlier recordings", but does that mean an out-take of "7 And 7 Is"? I donated my crappy old turntable, so I can't check.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm
Amanda:

Ha! Very nice, efd.

Since we're on the subject, I stand by Billy Bragg's cover of 7+7 is. Not as better than the original of course, but as very good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm

Hey, Evan... sounds like it's "get down time".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm
Brian in UK:

@efd looking forward to listening to Jacco Gardner but it will have to be on the archive.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm

@simon, yes, I have that Walk Away Renee cover! He doesn't really sing it, which I at first found disappointing, but it's nice.

Rich in Washington:

DJ mistakes are the radio gods' way of inserting spontaneousness into the show.
Besides, the listeners had no idea you had planned on playing, not playing, accidentally playing twice, etc.
Don't explain, don't complain, etc..

Yo, D.J. Suchez Mice Elf!

@UM - After I get a job at my new location, I will no longer be able to listen to Amanda live. I will, however, be able to listen to YOU live.

Hi, 'Manda. I got to listen to most of the show while clearing up some late work. I had fun. With the show, not with the work. I especially dug hearing the Bugs Bunny Easter cartoon, which I love too. "I can't miss with my Dick Tracy hat!" is one of my all time favorite Looney Tunes lines.
