Marmalade Kitty:

Is that a training/exhibition camp for cats?
Avatar 3:10am
Bill Mac:

Ladies and gentlemen! Pink Floyd did some songs on this Zabriskie Point Soundtrack, and yeah, this Redfearn is incredible. I thought it was a joke band judging by the bands name. Hey yo Bri!

Hi everyone! ..beautiful Pidge! just googled the mountains

East of Eden was it Mercator Projected the first album?
Avatar 3:18am
Bill Mac:

Wow Brian, that only took.... 16 minutes. Stanley's welcome here anytime, moist or not. That goes for Emile too!
Avatar 3:19am
Bill Mac:

Not sure Brian, I got this off of a nifty comp of Decca psych and prog. Named afetr a Moody Blues tune methinks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19am
Stanley:

Aw Brian! True I'm up early, thought I'd get in some full live Bill action today to make up for the last few Saturdays mornings either spent on trains, planes or other inconvenient places.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20am
Brian in UK:

The think about albums was it was cool to carry them around. you can never look cool carrying a CD. Early Jack Bruce/King Crimson. Oh the artwork.
Avatar 3:21am
Jay/London:

good morning Bill and all the gang... after last weeks show I went out and found a L.P. of John Berberian's middle eastern Rock ... thanks bill for playing it last week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23am
Brian in UK:

No offence, Stanley, how was Bristol?
Yeah Bill, In Seach of A Lost Chord, only one I bought apart from Go Now single.
Avatar 3:23am
Bill Mac:

Brian, words to live by. I was watching the news before trying to sleep this evening and they did a special on the comeback of vinyl - a piece of fluff for sure but if the major media gets ahold of something like that it must have been true for a year or so already
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24am
Brian in UK:

Hey Jay. The man has come back stronger than ever.
Avatar 3:25am
Bill Mac:

Morning Jay, the one tune I knew of his before last week is called Chem-oo-Chem - another corker. There's a world group out of Texas USA called Brave Combo that did a nice cover of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27am
Stanley:

Brian - It's a secret cool to have amazing mp3s stashed on the ol' phone knowing that at any baby screaming moment other personal invasion, its out with the ear buds and on with Acid Mothers Temple or some other soothing and restoring experience. Oh yes, those little mp3 files get my vote every time.
Avatar 3:28am

i think Vinyl is so much better then cd if at all poss I try to buy Vinyl .. the John Berberian L.P. is second Hand but is in mint Bill

there is place for them Stanley ... after all we can not walk down the street with a record player
Avatar 3:32am
Bill Mac:

Speaking of which, have you guys ever checked out the Mutant Sounds blog? Lotsa left of center music. I spied 10 CDs worth of Kawabata Makoto Early Works out there if you interested... Stanley.
Acid Mothers is not exactly my cup of tea but i feel like I should be checking them out when they wander thru here. They're at least as good as a crying baby, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32am
Stanley:

Budgie - now there's a band I thought I'd never hear again!
Avatar 3:33am
Bill Mac:

@Jay, and a stack of 33s.

Unknown in the states, but I picked up on them myself back in the 70s, along with your other favorite, Alex Harvey. Thank God for cut out bins

Jay what about those non PC named ghetto blasters? Weighed half a ton.
Avatar 3:39am

At least we don't have to hear other peoples' music on the sub anymore, although in retrospect it was probably my first exposure to bands like Funkadelic.
Avatar 3:39am

@ Brian yeah so glad they died out ... sometimes we see them in boot sales
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42am
Brian in UK:

'I've found the men sir, God I wish I hadn't'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42am
Stanley:

@Brian - now I had one of those when I was around twenty years old. My defining moment of cool was walking into the Crystal Palace Bowl for a Bob Marley gig (I think) and switching this huge mother on, blasting out 'Free Nelson Mandela' by The Specials. I had got this single the day before and no-one had heard it yet. I felt a million dollars.
Avatar 3:42am
Bill Mac:

I'm always curious what other folks have on their i-pods.Might be shallow but I think you can tell a lot about a person by what they listen too... I don't know exactly what that is yet, but I think I'm on to something
Avatar 3:43am
Jay/London:

people play stuff so loud . on the trains buses . all we hear is the beat it drives me mad
Avatar 3:45am
Bill Mac:

@Brian - Isn't that what Viv says in "Noises for the Leg"? Another band that found us back in the day. I remember playing "Slush" out my bedroom window to annoy the neighbors. They look at the leg monday. I think they're gonna let me stand on it!!!
