G:

I call groundhog day, one month late.

We had the hate-Rush/Rush-is-ok argument on bryce yesterday in this time slot, in efd on weds night, etc. :)

What *is* it about Rush? Why not hate on Kansas every so often? :)
Avatar 12:14pm
DeemerDave:

Any Muffs today, Michael?
Avatar 12:16pm
glenn:

because rush gets mentioned a whole lot more than kansas? it's also my contention that all bands named after places suck.
Avatar 12:17pm
Michael Shelley:

the movie about Rush is great - but their music doesnt work for me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm
Mike East:

@G - probably because die hard Kansas fans are harder to come by than die hard Rush fans. I think haters tend to hate more passionately when the fans love more passionately and the hater disagrees. me, I'm in the middle. I went through a Rush phase in highschool and I'll own that, but I totally understand why people think they're lame.
Avatar #1 Hit Supporter Hellraiser 2024 Swag For Life Member 12:18pm
G:

so that really just pushes the analysis back a stage in the process -- i.e., why don't people mention kansas or 80s genesis or whatnot more, so they can share the hate? :)
Avatar 12:18pm
DeemerDave:

I have a soft spot for Boston and early Chicago is pretty damn good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm
Mike East:

Oh, I've done my share of Genesis hating.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm

Possibly the only number one hit ever about an order of protection.
Avatar #1 Hit Supporter Hellraiser 2024 Swag For Life Member 12:20pm
G:

@Mike: I'm with you re passion/hating.

I can see worthwhile things and failings about anything, so I just don't make a good rooter.

When I go a baseball game, I'm polite (and cautious) and cheer for the hometeam.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm

who opened this can of worms, damnit?!
Avatar #1 Hit Supporter Hellraiser 2024 Swag For Life Member 12:21pm

@Mike: But have you been in three 80s Genesis pro-and-cons on the board here in 3-1/2 days? :)
