Ooooh! Is this from the Joe McG "Muddy Water" comp? This is a great one!

This whole first set is very lovely country in fact!

You guys got that co-host schedule up somewhere where I ain't found it yet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04am
Matt from Springfield:

Leave Scott W a message in his dreams, by thinking, whispering or dreaming it. He'll receive it and get back to you tomorrow...

Hi Kitty! "Sleepers Awake"!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05am
Matt from Springfield:

Greets amEdeo! I'm sure you'll concur on the dream-messaging.

Hey Skirkie, haven't seen the co-host schedule yet! But Joe McG has announced his personal co-appearances!
  1:07am
Marmalade Kitty:

Matt those lyryics, are they Emmy Lou Harris & Rodney Crowell per chance?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am
Skirkie:

I saw the sign up sheet during a volunteer stint last week but failed to memorize it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08am
Matt from Springfield:

@MK: The lyrics I quoted at the beginning? Those are from the Townes van Zandt song "Dead Flowers".
Avatar 1:09am
amEdeo:

Hey Matt! Indeed. However, dream messaging IS a double-edged sword. Don't want to leave your mind open to any unwanted nightmare invaders.
  1:09am
Marmalade Kitty:

duh! oh yeah..

Thursday night I spent three hours in the FOT chat while wearing my headphones out of habit. I mention this as I couldn't hear the show. That'll happen on Tuesday.

Marmalade Kitty:

all of the flower in the whole woyld are for you my dear
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15am
Matt from Springfield:

@MK: "A gift from a flower to a garden"!--yet all the flowers are part of the same garden to begin with! :)

@amEdeo: If only I could have a mental "security camera" to inspect incoming dreams before they crash in uninvited!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16am
Matt from Springfield:

@BGZ: Totally missed the notice on the pre-recorded call-in show! But, this fulfills an early sketch on "Mr. Show"--glad to see it was Tom who did that!
Avatar 1:17am
amEdeo:

Mental security cameras are our next project, after we finish writing that Telly Savalas star vehicle you pitched the other week.
Avatar 1:18am
BadGuyZero:

@Matt: Several people referenced that Mr. Show. I don't think I've seen that one. I've seen many of them but that one doesn't ring a bell. I need to get the DVD set that has all the seasons.
  1:19am
Marmalade Kitty:

Did you like my Jersey City accent right there?
Avatar 1:22am
BadGuyZero:

I haven't heard Popstrangers before. I'm definitely going to check that album out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22am
Matt from Springfield:

Cute, Kitty! I thought it was a typo, but a Joisey accent--whadda woirld! :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24am
Matt from Springfield:

@amEdeo: Sounds good to me. Telly is fine for musical numbers, but my camera would definitely be on the lookout for Telly trying to give me a nightmare.

@BGZ: Apparently it's on Season 3, "The Return of the Curse of the Creature's Ghost"
Avatar 1:24am

MK: As a recent transplant, I apprecioted it!

Hi KP. Did you finally get Zellweger to attend your after-party as she was shooting scenes in your building?

Toughskins were from Sears.

They were part of the school uniform at the Baptist school my parents sent me to as a child. [Yes, I know that answers so many of your questions about me]

Great show, and that background music is so soothing after watching that godforsaken Oscarz show.
Avatar 2:02am

G, are you asking about Lena? I only saw the trailers and cameras. But I did send her a tweet telling her to come up to our floor. Waited in vain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05am

No worries. If she'd come, she just would have said something depressing and then left again. Haven't you seen the show? :P
Avatar 2:06am

Was that the same friend that owned Jelly?
Avatar 2:08am
Therese:

Ha! No, but they were neighbors.
Avatar 2:14am

I saw almost ep of the first season. I really liked the character who was her friend, the nutty one not the pretty one. Never really made it to second season

Everything's been great but ON-J is seriously blowing my mind right now
Avatar 2:22am

I love ON-J.

Turn back! Turn back! Turn Back!
Avatar 2:26am
BadGuyZero:

That's what that voice says if you play the record backwards.
Avatar 2:26am
KP:

I was listening to Partridge Family earlier. Does that count?
Avatar 2:28am
BadGuyZero:

One of the bands I worked with in the 90s used "Fire On High" as the intro music at their shows.
Avatar 2:31am
KP:

Have to admit I had the Xanadu soundtrack (but it was a "gift" from work) and liked it quite a bit.
Avatar 2:36am
BadGuyZero:

I had the "Magic" 7-inch. I was not allowed to lsten to the b-side because my mother said it was acid rock. I don't think ON-J ever ventured anywhere near musical territory that could be classified as acid rock.
Avatar 2:38am
BadGuyZero:

Are you still trying to top EFD's number of Nick Gilder spins?
  2:45am
James in ATL:

Really enjoyed the show tonight. Thanks!
Avatar 2:46am
KP:

Well I'm not sure if that is ELO on magic but it sounds like them. Anything with that phasey sound is slightly psych. Take it from Capt. Trips II.
Avatar 2:53am
BadGuyZero:

The b-side of the "Magic" single was another ON-J tune: "Fool Country."

My mom thought just about everything with a guitar solo was acid rock. When I would tape songs off the radio I would have to pause the recorder so as not to record any guitar solo. Just about every song on Top 40/rock radio in the early-/mid-80s had a guitar solo.
Avatar 2:54am
BadGuyZero:

My mom thinks The Honeydrug Moon is acid rock. Listen to that guitar. A-C-I-D R-O-C-K.
Avatar 2:57am
KP:

Therese seems to specialize in music your mother would not like, ESP. tonight.
Now my mother would like have liked all this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57am

Tell you what, those moms know how to draw a freaking line in the sand.

I'm just glad my mom never got wise to the fact that I had recorded Slayer records over the Christian music tapes I had.
