Has Johnny Cash ever really spent time in prison besides a holding cell for a night or two?

ChrisB.:

Jon Brion 's "Meaningless" is an overlooked and underappreciated gem.
  11:27am
Silvia:

Los Archiduques are from Asturias, a region famous for their bagpipes, so their version is still popular in clubs.

Jon Brion is No.1 & one man Yo La Tengo.

@ david From Ks a pony keg is a half size beer keg it holds about 7.5 US gallons hope that helps

oddest lyrics from johnny cash ever heard! ex-wife died from stretch marks?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm
fred:

There are less glamorous sides to not being able to cry. I know, side-effect from surgery years ago. No contacts for me, and cops tend to stop and search me because my eyes get red. Nothing to write a great song about though, better write the legend
  12:14pm
mrmucho:

Mike, seriously you didn't know JC was a deeply religious man? Or was it something you'd just rather ignore?
  12:16pm
Silvia:

@ Brian in UK, Yes I know!! I'm from Gijon, Asturias.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm
fred:

@mrmucho: maybe this has to do with how "deeply religious" has come to mean something JC didn't practice
  12:17pm
david from ks:

@Jay from London : 7.5 US gallons of ale might help!
  12:18pm
drr:

Is this maybe the only Apples In Stereo song that is memorable? Cause it really is, but I can't think of another thing they did.
Avatar 12:19pm
Michael Shelley:

Mr Mucho - what is your real first & last name?
Avatar 12:21pm

DRR - I think they have a nice handful of #1 hits "Seems So' & "What's The" are great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm

@Michael Shelley: what do his names have to do with anything exactly?
  12:22pm
david from ks:

Thats it! Im goin to the liquor store and be all toasted by sunset!

Mike nice dodge but my question still stands
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm

you've got lucie dancin' this mornin' Michael!
Avatar 12:31pm
Michael Shelley:

Mr. you're rude and confrontational. Leave me alone. Please stop commenting on my show.
  12:31pm
drr:

Oh yeah, "Seems So", as soon as you say the title it comes right back.
  12:34pm
seang:

The Cavedogs have a great song called, "Leave Me Alone".
  12:35pm
mrmucho:

Jeez so much for the Friendship Society
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
fred:

@mrmucho: To clarify: I don't think JC was big about judging others, which many "deeply religious" people tend to do. I think part of his religious feelings were a sense of empathy with the judged, not the judges.
@Michael Shelley: aren't you overreacting a bit there? Did you delete a comment? That would explain it
  12:37pm
mrmucho:

If Mike doesn't want me to comment on his show, I won't. I will still be listening!
Avatar 12:38pm
Michael Shelley:

I didnt delete anything - I'm doing a show - Mr. takes advantage of his anonymity to be a rude bully - I'm just tired of it - a message board is no place to have a serious discussion on religion - especially not while doing a show - Mr is not constructive.
Avatar 12:38pm
Michael Shelley:

Thanks Mr.
Avatar 12:41pm
hamburger:

oof religion + politics.... biggest party poopers eva!

Avatar 12:52pm
Cory:

Oh and back to Johnny's second American album, for me the signature tune was his cover of Rusty Cage.
  12:54pm
Dave in Woodbridge:

Message board discussion is starting to remind me of Johnny's "The One On the Right (Is On the Left)."
  12:57pm
mark in toronto:

@hamburger: sorry i'm late to the discussion, but "the man who couldn't cry" is a cover of a Louden Wainwright song. Johnny's just singing it, he didn't write it.
