Arthur Collins specialized in what was then called coon songs, popular African-American dialect numbers associated with vaudeville and minstrel shows. selective discography:

@j-No: I get it, but since we are making judgments across 100-year distances, how will African-American professionals 100 years from now look at hip-hop culture? Any ideas? I know some right now today that call it postmodern minstrel-show material.

Fun fact: Berchtesgadener Land is a region in the way far southern tip of Bavaria, by the Austrian border. It's really mountainy and scenic, and Germans have always seen it as one of their most romantic/scenic areas.

The Nazi leaders later had a lot of their personal retreats there, most of all Hitler's "Berghof" mountain retreat/resort. I got schlepped there on a bus once while really touring Austria. (It's right on the Germany-Austria border practically.) Creepy but interesting.

Hi! Do you have "Flanagan's Mother In Law" by Steve Porter? I've only heard a very crusty cylinder version, but I really love that record! The jokes are funny, and the song at the end kicks ass!
