HAH, Glenn... If I still followed the game, it would've been the other way 'round. Last time I payed attention, the Baltimore team had nicely minimal blue horseshoes on they heads.

These days I've embraced the communist scourge of euro football, & can no longer relate to that goofy high-tech cartoon ballet known as NFL. just beenn checking out a load of videos by the womb--- really great--- there's one where he gets wrecked on vodka while miming the song inbetween shots
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11am
Liz Berg:

~L, Solange is Beyonce's sister. It does sound like the "Generation Who Bought More Shoes" or even kind of like old Cyndi Lauper production.

That's funny, I actually did bring some goat gouda today. I wonder if it would be good smoked.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am
Phin The Hyooman:

I tried smoking some goat gouda. Weakest high ever.
Avatar 10:25am
Green Mountain Man Mark:

the moon is made of gouda. imagine smoking some pot whilst floating around on the moon man!
Avatar 10:27am
glenn:

my position is that pretty much any cheese is better smoked. except for buffalo mozzarella.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am
tim from champaign:

Ike, try some toasted pine nuts with your goat cheese sometime. It'll mess you up bad!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am
Parq:

I love the smell of garage in the morning. Did anyone here make it to either of the Power Popalooza shows?
Avatar 10:37am
BSI:

right, smoked gouda. A lite angelic sprinkle of shreds thereof. That's what my magic tabasco lentil chili needed last night. Ah well...
Avatar 10:39am
BSI:

I see the food talk is starting early today. [looks pathetically over at shabby sandwich, sighs heavily, weeps into hands like a lost moon goat]
Avatar 10:40am
Green Mountain Man Mark:

I imagine one could take a sheet of american style cheese, the kind that are individually wrapped in plastic, don't take it out of the plastic, but load it with post and roll it up and smoke it.
Avatar 10:41am
Green Mountain Man Mark:

pot not post
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am

ok I'm back via ipod...thank god for apple, amirite? I just got this thing and I'm struggling to figure it out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am
tim from champaign:

Oh cool, I've been wanting to hear Thee Cormans.
Avatar 10:43am
Green Mountain Man Mark:

people on the moon smoking cheese probably pass a joint around saying in that pot smoke holding voice "this is some gouda shit man!" whilst they are really on the moon.
Avatar 10:44am

We forgot the cheese, Grommet!

Green Mountain Man Mark:

Hey gang. My mom wants me, my brother who is not really into anything like me, either I or he is the black sheep, and my aging dad with onset dementia to spend some bonding time. Any ideas as to what we should do? If it helps I am very liberal and my brother leans to bigot/conservative and my dad I think is a JFK FDR style democrat. Any ideas are welcome.
Avatar 11:03am
Lewis:

@GMMM - is this a single event or a series of events? Smaller doses might be waister and my preference is always to cook and eat some food that is agreeable to all...
  11:03am
Sean Daily:

Green Mountain Man Mark: Whatever you do with them, I'd recommend keeping politics the hell out of it. Do something your dad likes. Hopefully, your brother will get the hint that the outing's about your father, not him.
Avatar 11:04am
Lewis:

hmm, please substitute "easier" for "waister" in previous post
Avatar 11:09am
glenn:

it won't work. spend time with your dad, by all means, but my guess is that you and brother will want to kill each other.
Avatar 11:22am
Jennique:

This song should be called "Chimp Stomp"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am

Giuda.... not far removed from Gouda... damn, getting hungry again...
Avatar 11:27am
Jennique:

GMMM: that is a tough one. I agree with Lewis that something involving cooking/eating/drinking is a good idea. There's a place in New Jersey called Medieval Times that has jousting, serving wenches, etc. I've never been there but would happily go if my family were to invite me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27am

Liz, you have great taste in the low-brow hi-fi punk jams!
Avatar 11:30am

Nice... not only a Lunch/food reference, but putting me (approvingly) in the mind of Pink Fairies...
Avatar 11:30am

Thanks all for your advice. This is a tough one for me. Irony is that it is more about my mom than the three of us nuckleheads me dad and brother.

Phin The Hyooman:

@GMMM: Keep it simple and keep it fun. Not sure where Green Mountain is or what the weather is like there, but I would suggest something playful like miniature golf, a walk or drive through a nearby national/state park, or finding one of those paint-and-wine spots.
