Hello Amanda & chums. I have Ralph Steadman as the real hero. He did a wonderful cartoon years ago with the title 'Penguins on Hearing the Death of Amelia Earheart'. Was this a Thompson influence.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm
listener james from westwood:

@brian: quite possibly it was all steadman. the man's mind works in mysterious and bizarre ways. he did all the illos for f&l in las vegas w/o having been in the city w hst.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm
Ricardo en Washington:

Steadman has an audio cut on Morgan Fisher's essential compilation Miniatures. He also had a hand in the cover art, if I'm not mistaken.

no green shoots here for sure - people in my breakfast group were teasing me re saying I would skip tomorrow - temps close to -25 and wind chill close to -50
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm

Always a happy camper when Van Beethoven is playing!
Hi Amanda and Scenarians!
Avatar 1:16pm
ndbob:

for the wind chill - it gets that cold a couple times a year - I've been out in it before - any uncovered area feels like a migraine - can only stay out a couple minutes at a time - coldest temp since I've been here is -33
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm

In "To Build A Fire" Jack London said that @ -40F your spit will crack on the ground! @ -55 it will crack BEFORE it hits the ground! Stay toasty, Bob!

Aw nuts, Michael. Thanks for (not) listening though!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm
Matt from Springfield:

"Cantina Blue" pretty little number from the always satisfactory HA&TB.

@LJFW: The very same! I only remember it as "The 'One Night In Bangkok' people", so I looked it up before then based on that clue! I think the song Julie started and couldn't finish was "Moth To A Flame" or something.
And have a good day! Mid-Week Magic holds its spell on us yet again!
