Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm Doug Schulkind:

Get out yer Hank Sleet.
Avatar 5:58pm kat330:

Hi, Doug and Glenn! On a tad early 'cause I'll have to be in the kitchen the first several minutes. Listening and boppin' to the beat though!
  5:58pm ndbob:

evening Doug, Glenn, everyone!
Avatar 5:59pm kat330:

Hey, Bob!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm Doug Schulkind:

Hello kat330 and ndbob!
  6:00pm ndbob:

Hey Kat!
  6:01pm glenn:

katnbob!
  6:02pm Philo Gristle:

Greets, everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03pm Doug Schulkind:

Philo Gristle, you are most welcome.
  6:05pm ndbob:

hey Philo!
  6:06pm Philo Gristle:

Thanks, Doug, here's hoping for a quick recovery! Now, back to food and listening, thus off the keys for a bit. Hi Bob!
  6:06pm Jessie:

I think you meant lemonade from lemons, but really wouldn't bourbon be better?
  6:09pm Artie:

Whoa back buck
Gee by the lamb
Who made the back band?
Whoa goddamn
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12pm Doug Schulkind:

The lemonade is spike, Jessie, just like the settee atop the playlist.

Greetings Artie!
Avatar 6:13pm Philo Gristle:

So did Guillermo use this on the soundtrack of his film? If not, he shoulda!
Avatar 6:15pm kat330:

Hi, Jessie! Ooooh, Doug, so sorry to hear of your back troubles. :, Here are some healing vibes "back" atcha: }}}}}}}}}
  6:15pm glenn:

i don't particularly care for bourbon, but if i could make bushmills from lemons i'd be pretty happy.
Avatar 6:17pm kat330:

@ndbob: BTW, our relocation plans may be on hold. 2013 is Knob Knee's bicentennial, so surely we'll be inundated with tourists from around the globe. Culture! Excitement! ;)
  6:24pm ndbob:

@kat Perhaps I will stop by then - been working on my relocation plans - so many things to consider . cost of living, finding some type of work, etc
  6:24pm glenn:

i'm pretty sure that a frank frost single was the first release on sun.
Avatar 6:25pm kat330:

Doug, as long as you can still belly up to the bar, guess there's no need to look back.
Avatar 6:26pm kat330:

@Bob -- please do! We're on the far spiral arm of the FMU galaxy here and figure we'll never get to meet our virtual friends unless we venture forth. That would be great!
  6:27pm ndbob:

@kat Thanks!
  6:29pm Holly in NC:

So sorry about your back, Doug. Do you have an electric blanket, hot water bottle, or equivalent? Plus hootch of choice, of course!

Last night I enjoyed the Kingpins' "I Got the Monkey Off My Back" on the Ichiban stream - would've been a fun segue after Bill Tutt ;-)
  6:30pm glenn:

equals!!!!
  6:32pm Holly in NC:

Will we hear anything by Spinal Tap? (crouching down to avoid hail of snowballs &/or rotten garbage)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm Doug Schulkind:

Spinal Tap woulda been genius. You should be a DJ, Holly!
Avatar 6:34pm kat330:

Quasimodo I presume?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm Doug Schulkind:

But of course, kat330. All other hunchbacks pale in comparison.
Avatar 6:37pm kat330:

Maybe Marty Feldman's Igor is Hunchback No 2.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38pm Doug Schulkind:

Of course, that's EYE-gore.
Avatar 6:39pm Philo Gristle:

Well, if Doug ever does a show about eyeballs, Marty would fit snug in. I hope, for Doug's sake, he doesn't! Itchy eyeballs can be a pain.

  6:40pm Pascal:

A brilliant idea, Mr. Schulkind. Thanks for putting your back into it!
Avatar 6:40pm kat330:

Right, as it's also PHEYE-lo, although my first instinct was to pronounce hubby's handle as Phee-lo. It annoys him, so I continue to do so.
  6:45pm Holly in NC:

Did y'all see the real life "hairy eyeball" ? http://www.myhealthnewsdaily.com/3407-hairy-eyeball-rare-tumor.html DO NOT FOLLOW LINK IF HAVE EYEBALL ISSUES, OR ARE SQUEAMISH IN GENERAL
  6:47pm Holly in NC:

Doug, if I ever go back on air you'll be first to know. Maybe this summer.
Avatar 6:47pm kat330:

Thanks for the warning, Holly! I have deep-seated eyeball issues having had a bad eye injury as a preschooler. *Un Chien Andalou* was a hands-over face film in specific places. And *Clockwork Orange.*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm Doug Schulkind:

Ooof, Pascal, that smarts.
Avatar 6:48pm Philo Gristle:

I bet it's hard to wash Mr. Wiggles' back!

@Holly "Thanks!" My eyeball is itching now.
Avatar 6:50pm Philo Gristle:

Wonder if Marvin is related to Frankie Lee.
  6:50pm ndbob:

@kat I can really understand that
Avatar 6:52pm kat330:

Doug, hope you are helped by maybe a heating pad and a supportive pillow or two, some good sleep and a painkiller or two.

Take care everyone! The news is filled with dire influenza reports, yikes.
  6:53pm Holly in NC:

@kat - that sounds awful, shudder.
Somehow (er, hai Valium!) I got through Lasix surgery no problem - but my husband was completely freaked out by the eyeball clamps,
  6:56pm ndbob:

excellent show Doug!
Avatar 6:56pm kat330:

@Holly: It was sure no picnic for a 5-yr-old. Bandages all around like that old Twilight Zone episode "Eye of the Beholder," and nothing but Karo syrup mixed with OJ, and needles night and day. Pretty sure that's why I have a phobia of doctors/hospitals.

G'night everyone, and do take care of yourselves!
  6:58pm ndbob:

Wow Kat - bye for now everyone!
Avatar 6:58pm kat330:

Loved the hour, Doug -- all back and blues from it! :)
Avatar 6:59pm Philo Gristle:

As always, delightful show, Doug! Hope you feel better. Marvin was almost as fine as Frankie Lee, so even if not related, in good company. Night!
Avatar 6:59pm jk:

who's all set?
  7:51pm Van in DC:

Can't wait to listen on the rebound for this show tomorrow morning! :)
  10:13am Van in DC:

Go!
  10:50am Van in DC:

Doug I hope your back is feeling better. Us old timers and our backs...
  11:26am Doug Schulkind:

Van, you're as young as you feel (which is no solace).
