	12:39pm Matt from Springfield: NM CC, I've done that before too! The only way to "mute" Winamp for example is to turn the volume to zero, and sometimes you forget that! :)
	12:39pm kat330: Matt, could you invent the program for Doug's stream discussed last night, then go back in a time machine you've already invented to Monday morning? The vocalist I was fascinated by that I heard on GTDR cannot be pinned down -- no needle in the haystack could be found. :\|
	12:42pm Carmichael: Matt, you can mute QT by clicking on the speaker icon to the left of the volume control. I have to listen to voice mail messages occasionally through my speakers, and found that method to be handy.

	12:46pm listener james from westwood: kat, way back in analog-radio land, my mom heard a classical tune on the radio that she dug but didn't recognize, and then canvassed manhattan asking record store employees what the tune was, whistling it for each clerk. i forget what it eventually turned out to be. you might have to record a quick mp3 of you whistling or humming the tune (or link up on skype and whistle it!) and email it to doug!
	12:53pm kat330: @LJfW: Great idea, but it wasn't that kind of song. Not a catchy melody -- a very long, languorous pop song with a power vocalist, lo-fi sounding (either demo or live). I can't reform a single word or musical phrase from it. Ah well, it will get back to me if it's meant to. :)

	12:56pm kat330: Carm, we already tried that and agreed it was a lost cause. My very bad not to ask within the first hours of hearing it. He can only research about 10-12 hrs. worth, and it was already around 30 hours when I asked him. In good news, however, I won my match with the second bank yesterday! Two for two.

	1:28pm Matt from Springfield: @LJFW: Fascinating story about the Classical tune, though the entire Classical repertoir is by definition pretty established, and in theory anyone skilled enough could recognize an old piece if they're knowledgable about music.
	1:28pm northguineahills: Just perusing various "employment" agencies, that aggressively guarantee results in 90 days, or your money back (10%-25% upfront, the rest after hired). Been talking to many making sales pitches to me. My friend in the Upper Midwest wasn't able to convince his boss to switch employees mid-campaign, so, now I need to look at more immediate money makers.

	1:38pm Matt from Springfield: Danielson Familie! I think I've only heard them on the Scenario, but what a band! Dental drugs, I've never had anything except very local meds, which they pricked in with a needle anyway. When I had all my wisdom teeth removed I chose to just be knocked out for a short time, like 30 minutes.

	1:56pm listener james from westwood: i've been lucky not to need dental drugs for anything beyond a shot before drilling. but i did take half a codeine tablet once when a sinus infection hit me with a headache so strong i felt it in all the fillings in my upper teeth. good thing i was still living @ home b/c that half tablet knocked me on my ASS. had to crawl upstairs to bed. scary shit.

Using different "pseudonyms" for conceptual humor quite frequently, my email is my hidden "signature" for DJ purposes. I think they only get a general region from most IPs, which leaves the NYC area wide open. For whatever reason, Google always thinks we're in the Indianapolis area, which is frustrating with Louisville actually the closer metro area.

	2:33pm Matt from Springfield: @kat: There's several one-off spoofers though; it's prob at the DJs discretion, but generally they only block IPs that are consistently harassing, like week-to-week or several comments in a row. Besides the regional only aspect, it's another reason they're not IP trigger happy.

	12:46pm listener james from westwood: kat, way back in analog-radio land, my mom heard a classical tune on the radio that she dug but didn't recognize, and then canvassed manhattan asking record store employees what the tune was, whistling it for each clerk. i forget what it eventually turned out to be. you might have to record a quick mp3 of you whistling or humming the tune (or link up on skype and whistle it!) and email it to doug!
	12:53pm kat330: @LJfW: Great idea, but it wasn't that kind of song. Not a catchy melody -- a very long, languorous pop song with a power vocalist, lo-fi sounding (either demo or live). I can't reform a single word or musical phrase from it. Ah well, it will get back to me if it's meant to. :)

Been talking to many making sales pitches to me. My friend in the Upper Midwest wasn't able to convince his boss to switch employees mid-campaign, so, now I need to look at more immediate money makers.

Dental drugs, I've never had anything except very local meds, which they pricked in with a needle anyway. When I had all my wisdom teeth removed I chose to just be knocked out for a short time, like 30 minutes.
