Favoriting Bryce: Playlist from August 17, 2012 Favoriting

I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

this is really calming me down
  12:20pm
Cecile:

  12:20pm
Cheri Pi:

Nice segue!!!!
  12:20pm
Cheri Pi:

Hey PPC!, Cecile! Hey Bryce!
  12:22pm
Cheri Pi:

not to beat a dead horse but C-money....look what that rascal BT found:http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/rick-rubins-house-1/
  12:23pm
βrian:

Elaine Radigue makes me hungry, apparently.
Avatar 12:23pm
bryce:

hey, all!
  12:25pm
βrian:

With each alternating note, I hear "Pad," then "Thai."
Pad Thai, Pad Thai ...
  12:26pm
Cheri Pi:

I could REALLY go for pad thai
  12:26pm
Cecile:

wow, he should invite us over, man.

Brian, HA! I'm going out for Thai food in about 2 minutes
  12:27pm
fred:

@βrian: her music makes me sleepy. I like it, but it's demanding, and my experience tells me that going to a performance of her music on a few hours of sleep is not a good idea
  12:29pm
βrian:

I can see the Thai food cart from my window ...
  12:29pm
fred:

I'd go for pad thai immediately if only I knew a good place for it
  12:31pm
BSI:

working from home... aint no Thai nuthin' up here.
Pouting like a stuffed Rubin with the teeth in crooked.
Avatar 12:31pm
bryce:

but aren't you wearing an injera kilt?
  12:32pm
fred:

@βrian: In a sense, that's cruel, literally tantalizing. Then again, it means you can get it whenever you want
  12:32pm
BSI:

Somebody email me some drunken noodle (veg & tofu) pls. Or gang pak. or something. With thai-iced-coffee. thx.
  12:33pm
BSI:

Or just have it delivered by a team of eunuchs wearing injera kilts and false Rubin beards.
  12:33pm
Cheri Pi:

really βrian, just post my order here to the comment board. veg/tofu padthai no egg 10 spicy.
  12:35pm
Mr Lowry:

Just tuned in. Has this track been playing for a half an hour?
  12:36pm
βrian:

Will do. They may have to deliver as an attachment. Fresh lime is included.
  12:36pm
Mike East:

@BSI - you may have just decided what I have for lunch today.
  12:36pm
Cheri Pi:

yes it has ML.

*....here comes the guitar solo*
  12:37pm
βrian:

Most ducks I now are vegetarian.
  12:38pm
Cheri Pi:

And the segue from the last dj was Eliane Radigue Adnos II to Adnos II.
  12:38pm
Mr Lowry:

So it's an excerpt.
  12:39pm
BSI:

@Mike East: the Malaysian place near my ex-office had a (rumored to be) fine veg.duck... I never found out, as I was (and remain) totally hooked on the curry gluten...
  12:39pm
Mike East:

Seitanic Duck.
  12:39pm
BSI:

Jeezus Bryce, once again your show is a solid wall of food.

northguineahills:

The new Thai place, Sage, has really good mock duck (On Graham Ave).
  12:46pm
Ike:

Now I want to go out to Chao Thai in Elmhurst, Queens. I might even get away with it. Nobody else showed up at work today. I'm alone and can blast Eliane Radigue from the speakers at top volume.

I'm having a tiny bag of salsita chips for breakfast/lunch.
  12:51pm
Mr Lowry:

When the drums kick in, it's gonna be orgasmic.
  12:51pm
Cheri Pi:

Bryce, I can assure you that I'm pretty fucked up on this piece right now.
  12:54pm
fred:

I think I'm gonna have to leave and check those reports of a good Thai place a few miles away. I hope they're not closed for the summer, though chances are they are. I'll be walking to there and back so see you all on another playlist!
Bryce, Eliane Radigue is always like this to me, but it never really works on my crappy computer speakers, which is why I can still move
  12:55pm
βrian:

Bon appétit !
  12:56pm
aaron in chicago:

this is mixing nicely with the every-20-minutes roar of jet fighters practicing for this weekend's air show

Bryce, this shall be my goal: my speakers should be heavier than me. With that being said, I'm off in search of pad thai.

Steve in Tulsa:

I am going to need to wash my ears after this.

I remember the movie Liquid Sky with those Heroin/orgasm aliens
  2:06pm
Cheri Pi:

that sounds lovely Cecile.

Ironically, the movie Liquid Sky was often shown when dj's from the rec label Liquid Sky used to perform, or I mean, not so ironically.

All of Bryce's selections have had so much reverb I had to make sure I didn't have multiple WFMU streams running at the same time.

Just back from a failed quest for pad thai. Of course the place was closed in August. I'll have to settle for plain white rice with a Xenakis topping... not that bad
  2:34pm
dcp:

I just had Vace pizza if anyone's interested...it was ok.
  2:38pm
Woo:

Spinach and cheese stromboli from Sbarro, also OK. The Air Show jet fighters in Chicago must also be eating lunch. Quiet for now.

A couple of years ago during air show weekend I was running along the lakefront when a fighter jet dove out of the sky and leveled out about 100 ft above me before screaming south. I was listening to the peak of Nina Simone's "You'll Never Walk Alone"...it was over before I knew what was happening.
  2:57pm

bryce you are KILLING it today. Back-to-back Greeks no less. EF HARISTO (sorry for the roman letters)
