A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

"Mitty" is suitably dismissive, as in Mitty Mitty Bain Bain.

Brian in Quito:

It's Willard. Willard.
  9:37am
listener james from westwood:

as for mitt, charles blow of the nyt has been calling him by his real name, willard, which at least bring the rat connection into the equation.

brian, we're of the same mind.

good morning trouble.
Relax. Take a deep breath. And consider this, the President is winning in all three swing states, Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The Republican rank and file are not supporting mittens. Mittens has money in off shore bank accounts and has shipped jobs overseas. Barack Obama will be re-elected. I worry more about congressional and Senate races.
  9:43am
doca:

is this from the new hafez modirzadeh album on pi records? i found the beginning interesting, because i thought it would be a gamelan song or something like that.

It is the secret ingredient that turns me off.
  10:39am
Sam:

I think you can make gelatin from agar, from seaweed. It doesn't have to be hooves. But flan is something else. I think they have to mine that from very deep underground.

Don't forget the red dye. For yummy.

Antony has been curating the Meltdown festival in London these past couple of weeks. I saw Marc Almond stage Torment and Toreros, which Antony guested on live, and Elizabeth Fraser from the Cocteau Twins came out of hiding to do a couple of solo shows.
