  3:07pm

such a nice piece -- well, all three pieces -- so beautiful to hear a tribute to Lol Coxhill -- sad that it's because he's beyond...
  3:08pm
Cecile:

glenn! Larry showed up.

Good to see you, too, Scott. I owe huge eternal thanks to you for the CD you made me of the Toy Porno soundtrack so long ago. It's provided hours of entertainment. KIKI BALIKI!

sebastion bach's great on the trailer park boys too-- model trains and weed
  3:45pm
Cecile:

Eddie Vedder is a good guy. I just dont' like his music.
But he has been a real fan of all kinds of people I like. He did a really moving tribute to Chris Knox at a Pearl Jam concert with Neil and Liam Finn.
  3:46pm
Cecile:

I still remember Seb from the Supergroup reality show on VH1: "SAVAGE ANIMAL!"
  3:46pm
Mark in DC:

Apparently Jon Lord (Deep Purple) has passed on as well.
  3:46pm
northguineahills:

As I said last week when I heard of Dennis's death, I saw the Frog's open for the Smashing Pumpkins in 1996. It was so awesome seeing them play w/ their goofy costumes and all in front of 19,000 perplexed people. Billy Corgan was playing w/ them.
  3:47pm
Cecile:

They should have put the supergroup people in a house in Milwaukee with the Frogs. That would have been a better show.
  3:47pm
chris m.:

that was great
  3:48pm

  3:55pm
DCE:

this one particular Can track has been getting so much play.
  3:55pm
Cheri Pi:

Cecile, I know what you mean, I can't stand Pearl Jame but one of my besties loves them and says it's his comfort music- why is Eddie Vedder a good guy ? I'd just as well hate him for making bad music-but like I said I don't know that much about any of it....
  3:57pm
fred:

This Can track keeps reminding me of The Ex
  3:57pm

geeez. the streetcar's come and gone.

Is there some transportation thing happening in Jersey City? I detect a theme here. Streetcar, cars, let's go... (BTW, this is such a great Cars song. Too bad most of their other stuff is so boring or horrible. haha)

Next in library?
  4:00pm
Joe D:

according to @thefrogsfanzine, which just followed me on twitter apropos of nothing, today in Frogs history, Jimmy wrote the songs "Crime" (7/16/86) and "Rap" (7/16/90). Both remain unreleased.
  4:03pm
northguineahills:

You know when you're listening to WFMU and a "non-WFMU" song comes on and the playlist isn't being updated so you check you're player to see if it didn't skip to another stream mp3? This was one of those times.
  4:04pm
Kenzo:

Hi, sorry!
  4:05pm
Joe D:

whoops, its actually @frogsfanzine. Theres also some cryptic info there about free subscriptions to an actual physical zine to be mailed in October? Might be Jimmy himself?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm
Scott W:

thanks ami, looking forward to seeing you!
  4:07pm
Cecile:

Eddie Vedder 1) took on Ticketmaster before anyone else did, 2) has tried to keep ticket prices lower, 3) actually befriended and helped his idols (many of which are the same as mine), 4) stopped doing videos after MTV cut "Jeremy" so that the message was the opposite of the song, and 5) people I know and like like him.
  4:08pm

Slick track

@northguineahills I usually wait for the point where the track becomes a remix, mash-up, or gets destroyed in some way

Good points, all.
But a recent visit with comrades from London (and their very generous gift of a boat-load of Walkers Cheese & Onion crisps, being the god's gift to humankind), required some English semi-dark ale.
