Hi Scott. Caught up on your show yesterday with Suishou No Fune. They were incredible!

cool, Van. Yeah that was a doozy!

Afternoon Scott. Strike a light chaps, give the man a break.

Good morning everyone!

good morning world and wfmu, enjoying real radio reception in someone else's apartment, super show so far

@John Terry RED CARD & get a decent suit..
  9:59am
BSI:

robo-boogie?
isn't that illegal in several states?
  10:01am
BSI:

.....chelsea who?
  10:04am
Cecile:

Yes, but only with unmarried robots.
  10:05am
Brian in UK:

@BSI be interesting to see how AVB does at Spurs, if he gets some spending money.
  10:07am
Brian in UK:

It's PSG in Paris who are the big money spenders right now. Qatari oil cash.
  10:08am
John Terry:

AVB is a cant2
  10:09am
Chris from DC:

Wow, this Eli Keszler is great.
  10:10am
BSI:

@Brian: agreed. It's tragic actually, on my TV service here I'm lucky to catch one match a week (whatever ESPN deems worthy on saturday mornings) -- kind of takes the passion out of following the season when it's reduced to reading fixtures & results online. And living at the pub gets expensive.
......clearly I need to relocate across the big big water. Immediately.
  10:11am
Cecile:

we used to sing this as kids:
"When you sing buh buh buh ba ba duh, I sing buh buh buh ba ba duh" It was a weird game of ours.
  10:11am
Brian in UK:

You is lucky JT

  10:11am
Cecile:

That's how I felt following the Detroit Pistons in '90 without cable.
  10:16am
Brian in UK:

@BSI Have to confess my game is cricket. Going to the fourth day of the First Test against South Africa on Sunday week. Weather permitting. Six hours sport for the same price as 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge and better behaviour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17am
Scott:

Don't get me started on Spurs. What a silly move.
  10:18am
John Terry:

AVB has no people skills; never played football; too young to get respect of senior players. Man is a complete tool.
  10:19am
steve from cleve:

the Cavs drafted someone from Syracuse? I think?
  10:20am
steve from cleve:

that's the extent of my ability to talk sports. it makes my 12 year old son VERY UNHAPPY that I don't follow sports.
  10:20am
Brian in UK:

Mourinho never played. SO? Jury still out, you would know about that JT.
  10:20am
BSI:

RE: the behavior question, I don't doubt it. We in the states haven't learned how to be feral beasts (en masse) at matches yet. But honestly, the quality of MLS play isn't (usually) worthy of such.
  10:21am
BSI:

...but give us time. We'll be regressing to violent mayhem any minute. It's what we do best.
  10:21am
Cheer:

Moon Unit Rule! John Terry is a lucky thug!
  10:22am
Anton Ferdinand:

Great music. Moon Unit - didn't Zappa call one of kids that? Which came first the band or the child?
  10:22am
steve from cleve:

yeah, Moon Unit, this is killing me...this is one of the dudes from Wooden Shjips?
  10:23am
Anton Ferdinand:

Andrew:

I am literally falling asleep in my chair because of this tune. It is awkward as I sit next to a big window and everyone on the escalator can see me snoozing as they ride past.
  10:25am
Brian in UK:

Ferguson. Wenger. Never played at highest level. I do agree people skills might need some work. Give him time, he was short changed at Chelsea. I am not a fan of the Blues.

ausmanx:

this sounds even better than the album version! good night, folks... Villas-Boas will struggle, i reckon... can't wait for the first Spurs v Chelsea clash though
  10:33am
John Terry:

@Brian in UK: Ferguson and Wenger are brilliant at managing players. AVB just alienated people at Chelsea. That's the key - how you handle people innit.
  10:34am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I'm so high right now
  10:35am

Ruaraidh:

Always great to hear Cheer. His new album "Street Wondering Memory Recall" is totally excellent.
  11:57am
fred:

Sadly not unexpected, he was old and had been sick for a while.
He was a great musician, one with such a good ear that he made everyone around sound better, in my experience.
So just go see those great ones who are still around, they might be gone any time
