Listener comments!

  3:12pm the wizard:

I think the New Year's Resolution for all WFMU dj's should be to play only a portion of their Intro Theme Song.
  3:13pm Cliff:

Hi Terre! Feeling better?
  3:15pm John:

It is time to kick out the jams!!!
  3:15pm SueP:

@the wizard - As a WFMU DJ, I give that idea a thumb's down.
  3:15pm WF:

Welcome to 2012 everyone!
  3:18pm the wizard:

@terret - The problem is that it wrecks that song/artist for people just like using a song in a commercial does. It's a bit selfish...
  3:20pm Matt:

Welcome back, Terre!

Yes! World destruction theme! BRING IT.
  3:21pm SueP:

@thewizard - Point taken as completely valid. Tho I will say I never get sick of my own theme song ;). I'm a bit relentless.
  3:22pm TJ:

Oh yeah! Husker du is awesome!
  3:25pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

Terre's theme gives me time make lunch!
  3:26pm matteo:

cya,NYC 2012
  3:26pm Mickey Bagoosh:

Yo Ballers! I am so buggin to hear my hotties Sue P and Terre T back in my ear! It's been too long. Staten Island has been waiting for Terre T to roll the mad tunes again. We R ready!
  3:42pm On the Yazoo:

White Witch, "Class of 2000" would fit this mix. LOL

Hope you're feeling better.. but some kimchee would have done the trick.
  3:44pm cubicle carl:

Did I just hear the line 'throw dirt on your jeans" in the Destroyer track? That's kinda cool.
  3:45pm Jesse P.:

Wizard - you're the selfish one! Do you know what it takes to DJ on radio? The theme song helps establish the show AND give the DJs a chance to change shifts. And beside the point I LOVE HEARING THE CHERRY BLOSSOM CLINIC THEME every week!!!!!!!
  3:47pm Matt:

It seems I was premature in calling a world destruction theme for today's show. Oh well.

Terre, any chance you'll be doing a Best of 2011 show/blog soon? I need to know what to buy so I'll look cool!
  3:50pm SueP:

@Matt - Rumor is that Terre will be doing a Best of 2011 show in the next few weeks! You shall BE cool, not just look it.
  3:51pm Tom:

Welcome back, Terre! Love the theme song, reminds us that we're all a little crazy in the head!
  3:51pm Mark Watkins:

(Belated) Happy New Year, Terre!
  3:57pm matteo:

fantastic future
  3:58pm WF:

That Tyvek record is from 2010 not 2011.
  4:00pm David Shortell:

Vote Frost in 2012!
  4:01pm BTH:

Hmmm, I think an Office of Future Plans song may be appropriate for this setlist.
  4:04pm Marmalade kitty:

Hello TerreT & SueP!! Glad you're feeling better! I love the Intro, may it continue forever!! :)
  4:06pm cosmic:

hi terre, i'm so in the mood for george harrison right now. but i'm five hours ahead of you. does this mean you can see into the future?
  4:08pm robert:

Hi Terry,
glad to hear your Intro,
your back again.

won t miss any of your shows for sure.
  4:09pm Chris:

Death schmeath, this is just the dawning of the age of Aquarius... ta ta Pisces
  4:12pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

Welcome back, Terre (and your theme). The new year is off to a great start!
  4:14pm Joltz:

@Wizard...if you don't like Terre's theme song, just tune into the show a few minutes later. It's that simple.
  4:14pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

I don't know why anybody believes that 2012 stuff. Remember the last guy who predicted the end of the world?
  4:16pm the wizard:

@joltz - I listen to WFMU all day for the most part...some of you seem a tad bit earnest/literal.
  4:21pm Marmalade kitty:

get your own show wizard!
  4:22pm cosmic:

touché
  4:25pm the wizard:

Totally. Well you won't have the wizard to kick around anymore...
  4:31pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

Complaining about the theme of a show you like is about the same as complaing about the cover of a book you like. What's the point?
  4:33pm WF:

OH no... I didn't even know there was a super volcano in Yellowstone. Great, another thing to worry about.
  4:35pm the wizard:

you might want to re-read my initial post. it was mostly in jest. And I don't have to stare at the cover of a book for nine minutes each time before I read it...over and out.
  4:35pm Mark Watkins:

River City Tanlines was cool!
  4:35pm DMcK:

That was actually a pretty good song!
  4:38pm Listener Schned:

TT: thanks for the years of awesome programming (likewise Sue Per)- your instincts about 2012 are on target, the last time the same set of global circumstances came together, we got the likes of Nazism- beware people and don't be scared, walk tall !!
  4:39pm mick:

wow...that krs one piece was amazing...thanks
  4:42pm Cliff:

KRS-One totally owned that craptacular apocalyptic nonsense that was played before it.
  4:43pm @drazIweht:

Off the HOOK!
  4:43pm DMcK:

Back to the Bob Wayne song, what's not to like? Basically said that if times are getting apocalyptically tough, maybe it's the little things that count. I agree with that sentiment.
  4:50pm DMcK:

Nah, I think the whole redneck paranoia thing is totally toungue-in-cheek. "just ask the dinosaurs -- oh wait, THEY'RE DEAD". LOL
  4:52pm DMcK:

Whereas KRS-One, good as it was, got into all that silly numerological stuff at the end. True believer!
  4:57pm Mark Watkins:

Future Talk is absolutely fantastic!
  5:00pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

"Over and out"? Does that mean there won't be another unfunny "jest," insulting to the hostess posted by you? Amen to that!
  5:09pm NonHatas:

we wizz on the wiz! errbody beats the wiz!
  5:09pm M:

Listening from San Francisco
Dancing on the ladder.
Divine set!
Thank you for your rhythms.
  5:12pm eyenoise:

Human Switchboard! Did you ever see them play, TT?
  5:15pm Richard from Venezuela:

Greetings Terre and all the listeners.
  5:18pm Michael K.:

@eyenoise Thomas,Human switchboard would occasionally play in pittsburgh but I had a friend going to college in Kent OH. and we would regularly see them at JB's down under there, also, Rob Pfeifer's brother Marko had a band in pittsburgh called The Downtowners
  5:22pm eyenoise:

Michael K: I saw them once at Heaven, right after the LP came out, which have been the las time in PGH. I saw the Downtowners once. Saw THE WAKE a bunch, though!
  5:24pm eyenoise:

Human Switchboard and Embarrassment in the same set! Terre you play my record collection sometimes.
  5:36pm mchuge:

2 years ago yesterday we lost Jimmy Lee Lindsey ...
  5:38pm PB:

the weekly dose of Ty Segall. Love Ty, my favorite new artist of the last few years.
  5:42pm DMcK:

BOB WAYNE IN 2012, WHO'S WITH ME NOW
  5:51pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

Switchboard's drummer is living right there in Hoboken!
  5:55pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

Ah, NonHatas, with malice towards none...
  6:02pm Michael K.:

Hey that's Ethan's band
  12:51am Steve-O:
