  3:09pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Greetings Jason and all the listeners. Great hear you again.
  3:12pm
fred:

Nice to hear you again, I'd totally vote for a Jason/Jason transitional moment on some future schedule, the bed music would be easy to select. But not to the expense of losing Meghan or Diane, always the issue with the FMU schedule. Alternate streams look promising.
  3:14pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Hi Fred. Gimme the drummer radio stream is a cult alternative for me. Great shows and great music.
  3:15pm
BSI:

I, for one, welcome our new Elbogenian overlords.
  3:18pm
Looms:

Hey Jason and everyone.
Thanks for opening the show with Francis Bebey
  3:25pm

This Lani Smith track is the most brilliant thing I've heard in two thousand years.
  3:28pm
Fact Checker:

Infants are not 2000 years old.

  3:40pm
fred:

Could this Jesus character get his paperwork in order after being written off as dead these days? Jesus vs TSA. There's a flopping show idea there, someone should call Andy
  3:42pm
Robert de Flacque:

The first time...
..ever I sawwww....yourrrrr...playlist...
  3:46pm
jelbogen:

Hey Carmichael. You're the namesake of a famed Christian-Rock composer from the 60's/70's ("Ralph Carmichael"). But maybe you know that, or maybe you're him? Or maybe you have found Jesus Dentures?
  3:47pm
Louis Cypher:

Ah, "Sweet Death" ... this one always makes me cry.
  3:49pm
Carmichael:

I wish it made that much sense, Jason. I'm named after the suburb of Sacramento where I work, live, play and suffer. Most people think "Hoagy" ...
  3:59pm
Wimpy:

You were named after a sandwich?
  4:04pm
Le Seigneur est grand:

The Lord is great
  4:06pm
Mike East:

I think years from now, people will look back on the Lou Reed Metallica album and realize that this is what music is supposed to sound like.
  4:08pm
?:

But what do we do until then?
  4:08pm
Louis Cypher:

#1 record of 2011
  4:09pm
Carmichael:

Please turn off this musical waterboarding and play the Dylan Xmas album.
  4:09pm
Rob Thornton:

I simultaneously admire and dislike this song. It's gratuitously cliched and surreal at the same time.
  4:11pm
joli:

lou +bunny girls + mr chop + metallica
  4:12pm
Carmichael:

This song is in the EXACT key of my Cisco phone's dial tone.
  4:12pm
pgw in mntclr:

"Lulu" will soon be eclipsed by the inevitable Slayer/Scott Walker collaboration album
  4:14pm

pgw in mntclr:

  4:29pm
Ben Drinken:

anyone ever had a skate? it is sort of a winged fish like a sting ray without the stinger thing and it flies into boats. It is tasty but kind of boney.
  4:33pm
Ben Drinken:

skates do kind of have a stinger like tail but not like a sting ray. once you get past all of the crtilage/bone stuff the meat is pretty good and has a sweet/nutty flavor, I think.
  4:41pm
still b/p:

Plenty of recipes online for skate cheeks.
  4:46pm
Ben Drinken:

when I was a kid we lived in the bahamas for about a year. I was in thrid grade. we went out on deep sea fishing boats with my dad, brother and a bunch of guys from there work. There were flying fish. I remember a guy that worked with my dad on the electric power plants and he had a big mustache and ate vienna sausages from a can. He would look at me while he ate them and he smiled and went "heh, heh, heh!"
  5:06pm
Carmichael:

My next band will be called Skate Cheeks.
  5:06pm
Carmichael:

Kim Jung "Smokey" Mi & The Miracles.
  5:08pm
Ben Drinken:

would it not be cool if Kim jung sun secretly love wfmu and decided to let all N Koreans listen to wfmu online, but would forbid shut up weirdo.
  5:09pm
still b/p:

The next roller derby team I sponsor will be called Skate Cheeks.
  5:12pm
Brass Knuckles:

This is good fun stuff you're playing. You should fill in more often at the station.
  5:14pm
Ben Drinken:

I like roller derby skate cheeks. one of my favs about roller derby. the cheeks and the other is the beer garden
  5:15pm
Carmichael:

He would instantly fall in love with Frangry, and think Andy was a wimp. He might even be calling now as "Spike".
  5:17pm
?:

Kooffreh!
  5:17pm
hamburger:

Yay Chief Koofreh!
  5:19pm
glenn:

  5:20pm
Ben Drinken:

  5:21pm
Dave in PA:

Jason - since you mentioned and played Chief Koofreh last week, I checked him out on YouTube and he won my heart imediately. The song was called "Prostitute" - Check out his Tribute to Indianapolis also on YouTube!
  5:27pm
Ben Drinken:

when is Jason on I don't see him on the schedule but have seen him there in the past on the overnite schedule. I am deciding this new year to explore those overnite djs in the archives. I never really listen
  5:35pm
Dave in PA:

How is it that every time I think you can't out-do yourself, I listen for another few minutes, and then it happens? Where do you find this amazing great stuff???!!
  5:40pm
Jesse in AR:

This is pretty good.
  5:41pm
Brass Knuckles:

Do we have any news on whether Richard Farmer is still living forever? I did a search. only 34 results and you're at the top of the listing.
  5:42pm
Ben Drinken:

wouldn't it be weird if south carolina and north carolina were like the koreas.
  5:44pm
Ben Drinken:

instead of Kim the names would start with Billy...followed by the second name.
  5:46pm
Carmichael:

This sounds like the national anthem for Kim Jun Billy's country.
  5:48pm
Brass Knuckles:

South Carolina would be the North Korea.
  5:50pm
Looms:

Your french pronunciation is probably the worst I've heard on WFMU so far but your playlists are delightful; thanks man!
  5:51pm
Ben Drinken:

I would say so, Carmichael. SC would be SK and NC would be NK. based on the level of backwardness.
  5:53pm
Carmichael:

Ya, thanks Jason. Interesting, oddball, enjoyable music. How's that for a back-handed compliment??
  5:54pm
Looms:

I think my tibetan pronunciation might be a total failure indeed :)
  5:55pm
emmagineering:
