Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

Apropos of nothing, other than I'm reading the news and this struck me as funny. A dude here locally broke into a house to put up Christmas decorations. He told the 11 year old kid who was home: 'I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I'll get my things and go."

  6:01am
T-Zero:

Take care all.
  4:03pm
Matt from Springfield:

And...finished the show! Just missed a lot of great stuff after I went to bed, but the Archive is here waiting!

The Peppermint Pig EP not so common, glad to hear that, and a solo album from Rose McDowall I wasn't aware of. Great choice of "Red Telephone", Kitty! And the Whether Bureau, and that Human League one--VERY different than the HL I'm familiar with!
  4:04pm
Matt from Springfield:

Thanks for the great fill-in Julie!
See you tonight!
  9:22am
Van in Dallas:

Well, let's see what we missed here...wheel 'em around!
  11:41am
Van in Dallas:

Set 1: Loved the Not David Bowie by Tori, followed by Bowie of course :) Classic Kim Wilde, she does some very underrated & unnoticed stuff on occasion! Enjoyed the Robyn tune, never heard it before.
  3:30pm
Van in Dallas:

Set 2: ALWAYS love to hear Cocteau Twins! Something about them is just magical (ha, I had just listened to Clannad - Newgrange...Magical Ring...;) They go so good together! ).

New to me was Boo Trundle - enjoyed that one (as well as the Altered Images being new & enjoyable to me in Set 1). Also always like Dead Can Dance...and we get a follow-up Black Tape live WFMU performance - wonderful!
  4:17pm
Van in Dallas:

Set 3: Fairport Convention...I have GOT to get that compilation box set! I LOVE Sandy Denny & Fairport! Had many of their albums (and hers) earlier before I lost everything. Currently have zero Fairport albums :(

Pink Floyd...Moody Blues...more of my major likes, which is why so much of what Julie plays on this show I just love. That three-song squence of Moody Blues to Donovan to Fairport was just wonderful :)

Pause again. Saving the final set for tomorrow morning!
  9:50am
Van in Dallas:

last set: KATE! Yeeeeeeees! :) She's always the highlight of any set/playlist she is in, for me! Great last set, all around! Really enjoying the entire set immensely, and looking ahead to what's coming, it will be thoroughly enjoyable.

Thanks Julie!
