  9:01am listener james from westwood:

  9:01am glenn:

  9:02am Mark:

yeah swing it boys
  9:04am Foreign Listener K:

Dylan Christmas music next - such giants shouldn't be left standing alone in their field.
  9:05am dc pat:

  9:06am Cheri Pi:

Oh, the sweet tonic of BD's Xmas massacre.
  9:06am Ken:

Merry Christmas One and All!!!!
  9:06am kill me now:

  9:06am Foreign Listener K:

Ken is our god - we need only pray, and no hell will be spared the faithful.
  9:07am still b/p:

Is it the money?
  9:07am George of Troy:

'Scuse me while I pour bleach in my ears.
  9:07am RW:

Shark-jumping albums could be a pretty good concept show... we have two pretty great ones so far (although one could argue both Lou and Bob have jumped before)
  9:08am glenn:

the hank snow christmas record kicks bob's ass.
  9:08am dc pat:

Dylan should do an album with Tom Waits now..
  9:08am Aaron in Minneapolis:

See this is what happens when you dont pledge people, Ken goes postal on you!
9:08am Vicki - People Like Us:

Morning peoples, stay tuned!
  9:09am glenn:

i heard a monster mash / killing moon mashup the other day. not bad.
  9:10am jan:

did something happen to Bob? why are you playing Dylan twice, today?
  9:10am Ken:

TV on the Radio today! People Like Us' "The Magical Misery Tour" will air as audio AND video (on the WFMU homepage) from 9:30 to 10.
  9:10am Anon.:

Shock and Awevember until we reach the goal?
  9:10am yayson:

wow is it dylan xmas album season again?
  9:11am Ken:

And then an hour-long NSFW video from Radio Soulwax from 10:15 to 11:15. But that one will not show on the FMU homepage - it's too pornographic. So you will have to go to wfmu.org/video.shtml to watch the soulwax video at 10:15
  9:12am Neg-guh-tor:

strange how satisfied I feel over the first three tunes. The next three might devastate yams. Merry Christmas!
  9:15am George of Troy:

OK, the bleach treatment seems to have worked. The spider crabs are a bit troubling, however.
  9:17am Sam:

Ken, if you're too happy, you're just gonna cough and maybe choke. So careful with that cherrfulness.
  9:18am glenn:

ya know, full frontal nudity just ain't that shocking anymore.
  9:19am hip:

Yeah Glenn, but it still sounds quite trendy
  9:22am listener mark:

good morning Ken
good morning everyone
  9:28am Ken:

The video that's about to start by People Like Us can be viewed at wfmu.org as well as here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ken-people-like-us
  9:28am jan:

Ken- From 9-12 on Wednesdays, with your gif files, captivating banter and great music, it's difficult enough to work. And today, we have to watch your program, in addition to listening?
  9:30am Cecile:

I missed Xmas Dylan. Aw.
Oh, well.
@jan, you're a tough customer. :D

Radio Soulwax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was it cause of me? Yes? Yay!
  9:31am Cecile:

Haven't seen the "Baturas" episode, but it will be AMA-YAY-ZING. Iphone/iPod users need to get this app - it's FREE!
  9:31am vivian:

we got something on the front page-yipeee!
  9:32am Cecile:

I can't watch, I just have to listen and have an aneurysm at work.
  9:35am don:

i hope we can watch these videos later....? we are at work :-(
  9:37am Terry is cooking:

Considering I had a terrible night's sleep last night, watching PLU makes me feel so not alone
  9:38am Cecile:

don, if you have an iPod or iPhone, you can DL Soulwax's episode for free.
  9:38am Detroit Mac:

it is especially spooky when the itunes stream and the front page image are slightly out of synchronization.
  9:39am Kevin:

thanks, this is great!
  9:40am Ken:

The audio will be archived as always but the video will not be available after the show. You can see trailers online for both Vicki's piece as wel;l as Radio Soulwax's Disco Batuta. Go to peoplelikeus.org or radiosoulwax.com
  9:40am still b/p:

If Zsa Zsa could show up again every minute or two, I'd be comforted and saved from terror.
  9:40am giraffe:

whimper trot trot
  9:41am Ken:

So I have a question for giraffe: could you hear Vicki and me talking in the background earlier?
  9:41am giraffe:

trot trot trot.........poop

  9:42am Cecile:

Vicki, you are a genius.
  9:43am glenn:

  9:43am Carper Cleaning Company:

That giraffe is a big pain in the ass.
  9:43am Doug in Canada:

Yay! Altered States!
  9:44am Mark:

I don't know if I can handle this listening and watching at the same time thing. If only I had some experience at listening to and watching something at the same time
  9:44am Better Typing Company:

Ummm.
  9:44am Cecile:

You know, given the choice between the lightly talented Gabors and the lightly talented Kardashians, I take the Gabors every time.

YAY! Pilot!
  9:45am glenn:

oddly enough. i could see kim k. in green acres.
  9:46am Zsa Zsa's left leg:

Wonderful show!
  9:46am Terry is cooking:

For those who can't watch it now: it's a world of your imagination!
  9:47am E-Z Crack:

Green Acres has already got Arnold to be the featured _ _ _!
  9:47am Cecile:

She needs a better accent, glenn.
  9:47am still b/p:

If Zsa Zsa could show up later in the other scheduled NSFW video, I'd be comforted and saved from terror.
  9:48am glenn:

dumb ho has more than three letters.
  9:48am dale:

would would jesus do if the devil died? would he be a carpenter or would he go into marketing?
  9:49am Cecile:

Yeha, Kin's a lot of things but she isn't a pig.
She wishes she were the fabulous MIss Piggy!

Who is overly excited about the new Muppet Movie? Meeeeeeeeee
  9:50am glenn:

will the swedish chef be in it?
  9:50am Jesus:

I'd go into picking up cute hookers with hearts of gold. That was the best part of the gig.
  9:51am Cecile:

I think everyone!
James Bobin from Ali G and FoTC is directing, Bret McKenzie from FoTC wrote most of the songs, and Jason Segal wrote it deliberately to be true to the spirit of the 1st movie and TV show.
  9:52am glenn:

jesus has watched trading places one too many times.
  9:53am SC:

Tewdee we goon to meek a blookboosturrr!

  9:53am glenn:

jason segal on the c.b.c. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cq2oDSPfWAY&feature=digest_sun
  9:54am jamie lee flashfan:

You can't watch Trading Places too many times.
  9:54am Cecile:

The bizarre puppet show in Forgetting Sarah Marshall should have been a tipoff right there. It is hysterical and very weird.
  9:55am hip:

Front page!!!!!
  9:59am TonguesTooShortToFelchWithGod:

Thank you for your hallucinatory largesse. No additional nausea or chemical hangover to spoil the fun.
  10:01am giraffe:

felch felch felch....poop
  10:01am anne:

wonderful, i never want it to end!! thought that when i saw it at the record fair too.
  10:02am trish:

Wow!
  10:04am Certain People:

What the fuck are you fucking talking about? For fuck sakes.
  10:04am dale:

  10:05am Kevin:

What was the movie with the priest on the beach getting excommunicated?
  10:05am Mark:

I could hear your thoughts
  10:06am dale:

"...vicki."
  10:08am Dan B From Upstate:

Sigh... I wish I could have seen this. Work blocks it.

  10:15am trish:

Best video/music combo I've heard in a good long time.
  10:15am Cecile:

I haven't see it yet, and can't at work. I'm looking forward to it tonight.
  10:15am Lizardner Dave:

I'm seeing it on the home page. Which is fine by me.
  10:16am Cheri Pi:

The butts are fantastic! You don't k now what you're missing!
  10:16am trish:

  10:19am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

Morning everyone! Ken, Vicky! What a nice surprise!
  10:23am Jay/ London:

morning all just love this show :0
  10:23am Ken:

Thanks Trish!
  10:25am Webhamster Henry:

Mmm... Magik & Brasil. Thanks Ken / Vicki / Soulwax
  10:27am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

OH SHI- D: Damn European Daylight Saving Time. I missed an entire hour of the show already. D:
  10:28am trish:

Thank you, Ken. I often have playlists open in Prism instances. No copy/paste of URLs.
  10:29am ?:

thanks, Trish. Wow. You never know what to expect with Soulwax. They too are geniuses.
  10:33am Cecile:

that was me.
  10:33am Cecile:

now, back to just listening.
  10:35am Ken:

The two radio soulwax guys will be here, in theory, after this ends at 11:15am.
  10:39am Cecile:

awesome!
  10:39am Ken:

Lemmee know if anybody has any questions for them.
  10:39am listener mark:

So, these are large album covers?
  10:41am listener mark:

Sergio Degas looks like Neil Young.
  10:43am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

Are we talking about.the mighty Soulwax, the same people that made the Stooges/SaltnPepa mix?

By the way, I'm now suffering from a non-listener, non-viewer, and intermittently-without-internet out of body commenter experience. Can't even pick up the 20k signal. T__T
  10:43am Cecile:

Yes, that.
1. have any of the artists gotten back to them saying they liked it?
2. How long does it take putting together a show from start to finish? What kind of software do they use to organize it?
3. Will they play Minneapolis soon? :D

@toto, yes.
  10:45am maestroso:

Can't see the video right now but this is a really great set of music.
  10:46am PMD:

Morning brain prevents me from reading comment board and watching video at same time.
  10:47am Carmichael:

Good morning, Kenneth. Good morning, everyone.
  10:49am mark from barre vt:

i am downloading the radio soulwax iphone app
  10:51am PMD:

So, I can't see Vicki's video???
  10:52am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

PMD,
Depending on your browser you may be able to see the two pages into a single view. In the main menu set the windows to display horizontaly or vertically in a single view.
  10:54am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

Ken,

Is it possible to show the video feed within your playlist? iI.e. like where the animated gifs rest?).
  10:54am Carmichael:

I am thoroughly confused. I have Vicki's video going on one monitor, and the comments page on another (and listening). Is Vicki's video supposed to be synced with the music?
  10:55am Ken:

No, sorry PMD, you cant see Vicki's video until she releases it for free which she will do eventually. You can see all of her previous works on peoplelikeus.org and ubuweb.com
  10:56am Ken:

Carmichael, I am also thoroughly confused. Not sure how you can see Vicki's video. Are you sure you;'re not seeing the soulwax video, which is what is playing right now?
  10:58am Carmichael:

I'm seeing a video, that's all I know. On the FMU homepage. Whatever it is, is your show considered the audio portion of the video? And vice versa?
  10:59am Cecile:

More questions:
What was your favorite one to make?

My personal comment to S'wax- the hardcore punk hour was hysterical, as I was a fellow-traveller to that scene. The people making the music generally had a good sense of humor, but their fans didn't. Also many props for making the Die Kreuzen album cover come alive!
  10:59am hubba:

I muted the live stream, and turned up the volume on the video because there is a slight delay... I'll come back to the live stream when the video is over...
  11:01am Ike:

I just got here. So where's the nudity you promi... errr, warned us about?
  11:02am Mark:

I am also thoroughly confused.

But then that's my normal state of being
  11:02am Roberto:

Oh cool, it's that Trader Joe's song.
  11:04am Carmichael:

OK, I think I noodled through all of this. I had to read through all the comments, do the time difference math, and figure out where everything was. Man, your show's HARD, Ken!
  11:11am mark from barre vt:

i wonder if there is a Roku channel for the Radio Soulwax project. I discovered you can listen to WFMU with the Roku 2 using Tunein. but with Tunein the wf-mu sticker is the screen saver and it moves around.
  11:13am Mark:

this really wasn't very NSFW was it?
  11:13am Dan B From Upstate:

Nice. I don't have a roku, but my tv came with a tunein app. I've used it to listen to wfmu, but stream is far off of where the computer is streaming. Also, it displays an old schedule.
  11:14am still b/p:

If you got the video going on both the true WFMU home page and its own special FMU page, and then paused one of them for a moment and resume, you really got a twist in your noodle with a delay between the two audio streams playing at once.
  11:14am hip:

is that it???!!!

:-(((
  11:14am Robert:

Aw. I was hoping all the people on the album covers were going to meet some place -- that the story was about their getting there.
  11:16am hip:

Ola!!!!

Bom dia caras! Gostei do mixe. Axo que precissam mais Gilberto Gil. Tambem nao vi Secos e Molhados. Esquezi?
  11:16am efd:

The Radio Soulwax iPad app is excellent - highly recommended!
  11:17am Greg in Portland:

The Belgian mix is so good. 60 minutes of dancing. I like to hit play and just check in on the dancers every now and again. This one:
http://vimeo.com/26148934
  11:19am Cecile:

Greg, I love that one. It always makes me smile.
  11:21am Greg in Portland:

Yep, Cecile. It's my cubicle dance party. Those dancers are more fun to hang out with than my co-workers.
  11:22am Mark:

just about anything or anyone are more fun to hang out than my co-workers
  11:23am Michael:

The Dutch are not particularly liberal about drugs---they're just not batshit crazy...and now, with the conservatives in power, even that is changing.

Beside, there's no paradox in saying that there should be no law against drugs but that people, and especially young people, should be discouraged from using them---much as is the case for rock-climbing, tobacco, and religion.
  11:26am Carmichael:

Todd!!!!
  11:27am Brian in UK:

Give them some Stanley Unwin, Todd on hold.
  11:27am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

Oh yes, the Dutch. They live in windmills and mince around in clogs.

They don't have any manners.

They don't say 'thanks' or 'please' all they eat is tulips
and stinking gouda cheese...
  11:27am Brian in UK:

Hello Carmichael.
  11:28am Carmichael:

Heya, Brian! How's your Spencer?
  11:28am Cecile:

TODD
  11:29am Brian in UK:

Good thanks, gotta go for a walk soon. How's your reprobate?
  11:29am trish:

Enjoyed the Soulwax everythings.
Nice to hear their words, "I can."
  11:30am Cecile:

Hi, Brian!
  11:31am Carmichael:

He's a feisty little punk, thanks for asking.

Ken, do we get the whole album?? Awesome!
  11:32am Heidi M.:

Me gusta the last track.
  11:32am Brian in UK:

Hello Cecile. How's things?
  11:34am Cecile:

Good! I'm so thrilled Soulwax is there.
  11:35am Cecile:

I liked my neighbor even more when we were talking about concerts, and he declared, "Something/Anything is a near-perfect album."
  11:36am Brian in UK:

Belgians have such a bad press over here. It's a cool country. Cheap jokes like 'name 10 famous Belgians' Who needs a government anyway!
  11:38am Carmichael:

Hermit of Mink Hollow
Something/Anything
A Wizard A True Star

The trifecta of near-perfect Todd albums. Who played the Nazz this week? Was it Liz B? I think it was Who's That Man, one of my favorites. A pleasant surprise.
  11:39am Mark:

how bout remixing "Oops! Wrong Planet " by Utopia
  11:39am Brian in UK:

Bosman was Belgian?
  11:39am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

Brian in UK,

Lemme try (just in the music category).
1. David
2. Stephen
3 - 10. All the Honeymoon Killers band members.
  11:39am Cecile:

Ann Demuleester
Martin Margiela
Dries Van Noten
Dave and Steph from Soulwax :D
Dudes who made A Town Called Panic.
I think that's 10 right there.
  11:39am trish:

Mussels and fries..
  11:40am Carmichael:

... Alive, alive oh.
  11:40am trish:

moules frites
  11:41am jalcy:

Wankers
  11:42am Carmichael:

Rutger Hauer.
  11:42am Cecile:

I LOVE SECONDS so much.
  11:45am Ike:

Belatedly, CURSE YOU, Ken, for playing "Do You See What I See" this morning. That's 1000x worse than anything Metallica and Lou Reed could ever hope to conceive. I despise every version that vile Xmas earworm. I will send an angry Bob Dylan android that shoots bees from its mouth after you.
  11:45am ?:

and no for something completely different . . .
  11:47am In Bruges:

"A great day this has turned out to be. I'm suicidal, me mate tries to kill me, me gun gets nicked and we're still in fookin' Bruges!"
  11:47am Carmichael:

Saw Billy Gibbons on Austin City Limits a few years back, playing with Roky Erickson. Lotta fun.
  11:48am fred von helsing:

coughing up Flems
  11:48am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

I think you'll make a better point if it was a Neil Young android.
  11:51am Vivian:

@Michael, I have to disagree with rock-climbing, excellent sport just need to be smart about it, regardless of age. Speaking of drugs, the latest news story involves two 25 year olds who took LSD and decided to share it with their dog. Frackin idiots!
  11:52am El Yem:

love the images baby!
  11:53am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

Thanks Soulwax, Vicky, Ken! Great show!
  11:54am judy scheck:

I often wake to find I have been dreaming this song.
  11:55am Disgruntled EU commissioner:

Belgium? Split'em down the middle (that's what they all want anyways), take their beers, take their chocolate, leave it a smoking post-apocalyptic wasteland of burnt waffles and pedophile wanted posters. Too harsh?
  11:55am Ike:

Hmm. You might be right, @Ŧ๏Ŧ๏@11:48. A nudist Neil Young android. With cute dogs... that turn out to be c@Ŧs in disguise.
  11:57am Ed Ames:

It's "Do You Hear What I Hear," not "See." And Dylan will hold you while I whip a tomahawk at you...you disrespect the stirring Jesus birthday music.
  11:57am Brian in UK:

The man Speilberg has just made Tintin, with mainly British cast. Supposedly he has wanted to make it for 30 years. Using 'performance capture' just make a bluddy cartoon.
Great music Soulwaxers. Are you coming to UK?
  11:58am Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

I like all this Soulwax and Vicky do: AudioVisual imagery. I envision WFMU being a centre place where listeners come in to play and mix videos and music along with the DJs.
  11:58am Cecile:

I know, Brian. Just get the folks who did the Triples of Belleville to do it. It would be perfect Tintin and a lot cheaper.
  11:59am Carmichael:

Thanks for the hard work & music today, Ken!
  12:00pm Mark:

cheap sunglasses was not on Tres Hombres
  12:00pm Cecile:

You should have a CONTEST.
  12:01pm Ike:

@Ed, blame Ken's playlist error, not mine. Also, I fart on yr tomahawk. "Stirring Jesus birthday music"... LOL.
  12:02pm Ŧ๏Ŧ๏:

Brain,

  11:28am Marie:

Ken. what is that first little video clip on the playlist? Looks like its from a reality show----ickorama. I would lose the will to live if I had to watch something like that.
  12:31pm Marie:

Hi Ken--great show, what is that first picture/video clip of? A reality show? Awwful.
