	4:07am darue: there's a nice Ray Davies solo performance from relatively recently, called "live at Sage Gateshead" all should check it out. get into the Great Lost Kinks Album Juile, ballade of the Virgin Soldiers would work nicely. You could could put together quite a "dark" kinks set :) too. Wicked show!
	4:08am King Penguin: we used to disconnect the speaker wires and run them into a second amp. Now that was distortion. In effect that's all a fuzzbox does.

Before, when I wanted to be a rock and roller, I always thought you had to sound like a mix of David Bowie and The Kinks if you really wanted to make it. You also had to play the piano. I too was going to mention the singing sounded like T Rex.
