	10:02pm Sweenbean: Terrif non rock show i saw in Montreal was Ashley McIssac's young sister Lisa in a small bar. Ive seen him and she was much better. Very trad. she is now an actress and has folk duo.Fantastic fiddler and quite a clogger.

	10:10pm PB: I never lived in Montreal but used to lisen to CHOM FM when I visited. It was a very cool station. CFNY (Toronto) was also very good in its early days and CHUM-FM was also great in the very early days (late 60s).

	10:48pm G: The operated in Canada (station in Windsor). CKLW having to follow can-con regs brought a lot of Canadian artists to American attention, b/c for awhile in the late 60s CKLW had one of the most influential top-40 playlists in North America...

	10:54pm G: CKLW alrready played noticeable can-con in the late 60s. Maybe some system or accommodation already existed informally before the major legislation was passed. For example, CKLW really pushed the Guess Who well before 1971 -- the Guess Who were huge already in spring 1970.

	10:58pm Sweenbean: I saw two big shows in the old forum. Pink Floyd premiering Dark Side to yawns, and the Who being unable to play Quadrophenia because tapes wouldnt work. Regarded as their worst show ever. They ended up fighting amongst themselves and spent night in jail.

	11:49am Ralph Alfonso: wow. That's my photo of The Diodes. I took it in 1977 or 78 in NYC at The Paramount Hotel. For the person who asked what is Canadian Content (to qualify for airplay on Canadian radio) it must have 2 of these 4 criteria: M (Music is 100% written by a Canadian), A (the artist is Canadian, ie solo artist or band if the main performers are Canadian - could be tricky), P (song is produced 100% in Canada, recording, mixing), L (lyrics are 100% written by Canadian). Bryan Adams disputed this when he discovered one of his albums didn't qualify cause he co-wrote with a non-Canadian & recorded in the UK or somewhere and sort of got the CRTC (our FCC) to bend a little but... he's Bryan Adams :) lots of stuff on my Bongo Beat Records site. PS - Diodes on tour in Canada Nov 15-19!

	11:49am Ralph Alfonso: wow. That's my photo of The Diodes. I took it in 1977 or 78 in NYC at The Paramount Hotel. For the person who asked what is Canadian Content (to qualify for airplay on Canadian radio) it must have 2 of these 4 criteria: M (Music is 100% written by a Canadian), A (the artist is Canadian, ie solo artist or band if the main performers are Canadian - could be tricky), P (song is produced 100% in Canada, recording, mixing), L (lyrics are 100% written by Canadian). Bryan Adams disputed this when he discovered one of his albums didn't qualify cause he co-wrote with a non-Canadian & recorded in the UK or somewhere and sort of got the CRTC (our FCC) to bend a little but... he's Bryan Adams :) lots of stuff on my Bongo Beat Records site. PS - Diodes on tour in Canada Nov 15-19!
