  7:19pm
jbm:

Hey, kids.

I recall that after the Great War, Brits encompassed the full range from decorated heroism to unspeakable horror, shame and mental breakdown by inquiring whether someone had had "a good war" or "a bad war".

Did you and yours (on the Eastern Seaboard of the US) have a good storm?
  7:20pm
Davice:

Absolutely, better than war. War leaves you with nothing. Storms leaves you soggy!
  7:21pm
CB1:

JBM - good storm in Poconos. So lucky. Just a few trees down and no power for 5 days.

trssh:

'Light' rum! Yeah. Can't remember the last time I ordered/bought it.. That's why it's good to drink terrible drinks when you're young. Rockaberry coolers and other stuff you'll never notice years later.

Doug S:

The name Sidney Armus leads me, stream of consciousness style, to Allan Arbus, husband of photog Diane Arbus. He played the shrink, Dr. Sidney Freedman on M*A*S*H. Thus Sidney & Arbus = Sidney Armus.

OK, it's been a slow day. Love LOVE L-O-V-E your show, Monica.

I'm gonna broadcast my 45th radio show this week. And part of the reason for doing so is a result of discovering WFMU and Monica's show.
She's not only my radio wife...she's a mentor,too.

True story.
  8:51pm
trssh:

Jungle juice -- for the parents who had a liquor selection -- it was the kids skimming a shot each and uh, mixing it altogether. Really awful.
  8:53pm
jelrod:

@ Schned - just erase everything after "html" which is usually ?_r=1&hp etc.. and reload the page. Voila, free reading.

  8:55pm
CB1:

Two days before my brother left for Vietnam my parents had his fiance's parent over for Xmas. Everyone got rip roaring drunk (except me - too young) My brother mixed a snifter with every licquor in the bar and puked his gut up on my Mom's new bedspread. My Dad danced with his future in law and they fellinto the Xmas tree and they all went down together. I simply watched in shock.

Thanks for a great show, Mo!

TS - Good luck on #45!
