  9:13pm
efd:

Hi Sean, hi Cheri, hi lurkers! Thanks all for making WFMU your entertainment choice this evening.
  9:14pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Greetings evan and all the listeners.
  9:17pm
mark:

Great song!
  9:17pm
other david:

Today was a vintage WFMU day... Starfuckers played on JM in the AM, while JM in the AM and traditional Hebrew music played on the web. Station Manager Ken played sure to be classics like "Pygmy Divorce" and Bernt Dahlback Je T'aime... first time I've ever heard a Relay Voice Operator calling in for a listener.. and Vicki went pop... oh and Evan's had a perfect start to his show :)
  9:23pm
efd:

Glad you liked Doctors of Madness, mark. Other d, I'm happy to keep the streak going!
  9:24pm
cheri:

i think this tune is about deborah walley am i right evan??
  9:36pm
Nate the K:

Hey Evan I'm loving this mini City Rock set. I might need to go by a six-pack of Michelob.
  9:38pm
Spanky:

Hey This is the Peep Show Theme! Nice!
  9:38pm
efd:

Ha! You might have missed your window, Nate.
  9:38pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Harvey danger. Classic. And given free records in their page. Nice band.
  9:39pm
efd:

wait, what's the Peep Show?
  9:40pm
Joshua K:

Its a pretty sweet British comedy show where all the camera angles look like they are from the eyes of the characters
  9:40pm
Spanky:

It's an insanely great BBC show. http://www.hulu.com/peep-show
  9:43pm
Parq:

Evan, "something from the 70s" and all, your transition from Vicki's 80's show was so seamless that it was almost 9:20 before I realized the shift had changed. Keep on killin' 'em, kid.

Danne D:

Whoa Christ Carpenter with a complete game win. That's an early birthday gift right there :)

Thanks Parq (long e on the end, ala Terre T)
  9:52pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Hi Danne D. I didn't travel today for work so, Here i am. :)
  9:53pm
Danne D:

:) Glad you could make it. I had to take a break and say hi (as well as to ensure I heard the great EFD theme song before heading off to the casino)
  9:57pm
Danne D:

Anyhow, I'm going to head over now to play some poker. Hopefully I'll win some $ for my birthday :D

Have a great show, EFD. Will be looking forward to the archive!!!
  9:57pm
efd:

hi Danne, thanks for checking in! Happy early birthday, have fun in AC

Parq, appreciate the compliment and thanks RIchard for the Harvey Danger link. And thanks Joshua and Spanky for the Peep Show info.
  9:58pm
Richard from Venezuela:

You're welcome Evan.
  9:59pm
other david:

Hey Danne D, I hope you have a great birthday :)
  9:59pm
Parq:

EFD, thanks to you, also, for the reminder about Danny Amis. I just made my donation, and I sure hope it helps.
  10:00pm
mark:

Going back to Doctors of Madness - a band I'm sorry to say I've never listened to before, as far as I'm aware, so thanks for that. I just stumbled on a bit more trivia regarding Richard Strange's acting career that's topical. He plays a Death Eater in the final Harry Potter movie. Wow!
  10:04pm
john:

Hey Evan! New Cynics track was boss, despite my fairly obvious bias towards the early work...
  10:08pm
cheri:

ohhhhh speaking of movies,, evan have you seen "bad teacher" yet?? it's soo very funny!!
  10:16pm
efd:

cheri, I think you and I have very different taste in movies.

John, yeah, that Cynics CD is GOOD from what I've heard so far!

Mark - I had no idea! I need to check his IMDB page again.
  10:21pm
Holly in NC:

Hi Evan! So very glad Kids On a Crime Spree (& Woven Bones) are keeping the JMC vibe alive - perfect for a summer evening.

BTW, thanks to last week's show I've totally gotten into *pre* 'Out of Darkness' Pharaoh Overlord, which was likely not your intent - but thank you anyway :-)
  10:27pm
aaron (The Ampersands):

HEY EFD!!! Thanks for being the first person to ever play a track from our new record!!
  10:30pm
efd:

Hey aaron, you're welcome! It's an honor.

Holly, your first mistake is thinking that there is some kind of intent behind what I play. :)
  10:31pm
Randy in NC:

Hey did you hear that MySpace has been sold for $35M? Quite a bit less than the $580M News Corp paid for it 6 years ago. Apparently Justin Timberlake has bought in for part of it.
  10:31pm
Holly in NC:

Post-work bliss.
  10:41pm
Holly in NC:

Justin 'Facebook' Timberlake? Funny.
I'd be a huge Justin fan if he hadn't been such as ass to Janet Jackson.
  10:43pm
Randy in NC:

Yeah he's one of the investors. I thought he was really good in Social Network.
  10:48pm
efd:

I'd heard that a sale was imminent, but hadn't heard the final word. They did make some money off it in the interim, but still...
  10:53pm
Randy in NC:

The article says News lost $1.4B on the segment that MySpace was part of over the last 11 quarters. It used to be the place to go. They got eaten alive by Facebook.
  10:54pm
cheri:

hey justin tell me why you did what you did to mila kunis at the mtv movie awards?!>=(
  11:05pm
cheri:

g'night one & all-- especialy you evan!!! i hope you have a safe july 4th weekend efd!!!
  11:10pm
Holly in NC:

Devil's advocating myself - *not* that Justin is anywhere near Iggy's league in the musical pantheon, but I have to deal with the fact I cut Iggy major slack for *his* bad behavior.
Justin's SNL bits are priceless. And he has some good songs.

Remember when Annette Funicello was known for being totally hot , not for being a stupid, sorry, hateful person - what do you think happened to her?

Evan - back to music - thanks for playing the Beaches! And Art Brut always great. And I do really, really like new Sloan.
  11:32pm
Julie:

I really love this Paul Messis record
  11:33pm
efd:

yes! It's top shelf!
  11:34pm
cheri:

good evening julie--- i sent you another e-mail.
  11:34pm
Julie:

To get to the top shelf I have to use the scary ladders
  11:35pm
Julie:

I saw cheri yes thank you, no mod clothing
  11:39pm
Randy in NC:

Great interview of Dennis Coffey on Michael Shelley's show recently!
  11:42pm
Stevel:

Great summer evening packing music. Might hear the next show from Italy. Ciao.
  11:42pm
Holly in NC:

Hearing that particular D. Coffey song just made me decide to purchase the cd - I'd been waffling. Strut owes you $, Evan!
  11:43pm
Julie:

Italy in July..I'm sweating just thinking about it
  11:45pm
cheri:

well julie i hope you have a safe july 4th weekend g'night
  11:46pm
Julie:

thanks cheri you too!
  11:49pm
Stevel:

Julie: Yup. Should be hot, even in the north. More gelato!
  11:50pm
Julie:

That's the one and only time I was in Italy, Tuscany in July. Man it was hot..and buggy.
  11:54pm
Stevel:

Might have to hide in the bar, sipping ice-cold limoncello. Its a dirty job.... Still, I expect to be pretty much devoured by mosquitoes.
  11:54pm
efd:

Holly, I'll have my accountant contact Strut forthwith.

Stevel, thanks for checking in and have a great (if hot) trip!
  11:55pm
Kat:

Bound for Mu Mu Land!
  11:56pm
