Listener comments!

  3:16am
Steve:

Bill, you're sticking with us through the summer and my what nice experimental selections we have!
  3:19am
Bill Mac:

Yes sir! Looking forward to coming up here and doing whatever it is I need to do to keep us occupied. How you doing? It's raining here! Finally!
  3:26am
Steve:

Finally? Hard to think of New York ever needing more rain. It must have gotten mixed up and come to California. Our reservoirs are full for the first time in 10 or 15 years.
  3:31am
Emile:

Hi Bill, listening while playing war (card game) with my son. Blue sky here in Amsterdam.
  3:35am
Emile:

Wevie Stonder!
  3:37am
Bill Mac:

Awesome tune! I remember WAR.... High card wins unless there's a tie. Spent many years of my childhood playing that. simple pleasures....
  3:39am
Bill Mac:

Steve it was so hot here this week I lost 5 pounds just blinking... no higher than 80 degrees Fahrenheit today...
  4:05am
Looms:

Hello there!
  4:06am
Bill Mac:

hey Looms! Happy weekend!
  4:11am
Looms:

Thanks. Yeah, let's make it a happy hangover ;)
  4:15am
Bill Mac:

Fair enough..... now that I'm not working I have more time for stuff like that... nothing like drinking beer in 95 degree heat!
  4:16am
king penguin:

Wow. Great Blue Cheer. Obviously there's cool stuff i've overlooked.
  4:22am
michael and birgit:

Good morning from germany... Monday will be better , but here is a short visit in this show. A bit tired from a nomeansno show last night and a lot to do in the office. Hey Bill, hope the best for a new job offer.
  4:23am
Looms:

I hear you Bill but when it's hot, I prefer to drink a "panache".
  4:28am
Bill Mac:

... and within reach of air conditioning or a swimming pool...
  4:29am
Bill Mac:

Morning Mike and Birgit, thanks for the good wishes... something will come up, but I'm hoping that I don't rush into the next thing... I'm trying to take advantage of a month of warm weather!
  4:31am
Bill Mac:

Got to find more bands like blue cheer to play. there a tons of heavy 60-70s bands that were just bubbling under the surface...
  4:38am
michael and birgit:

Like that...man, action is not the only way to solution. Like the show...
  4:40am
Bill Mac:

Thanks Mike, good to have you drop by... how was nomeansno?
  4:48am
michael and birgit:

Great, great.... going to see them again on the first of July. For me as a drummer ,i like the space between technical drumming and power. And , they are now near 60 years, i think . There is also a lot fun . Not a explizit cool attitude.
  5:02am
Emile:

Great Clinic tune.
  5:11am
M:

Quaid Brothers
  5:16am
Bill Mac:

Thank You! I hate when that happens
  5:25am
Emile:

Bill where do you find this great stuff? Stupid question, I know, but digging the set... On a completely different note, the wife and I saw the Walkmen here about 10 days ago. Live they sound pretty much like they do on CD... enjoyable.
  5:29am
Bill Mac:

I've always said that a monkey could come down here, spend 2 hours picking out stuff, and do a good show... I just screwed up a segway a few minutes ago but what do I know!
  5:29am
Looms:

Wow, The For Carnation!
  5:32am
Bill Mac:

That's right! A couple of the guys that were in this band were also in a band called Evergreen in the 90s... They opened for the Coctails (remember them?) and were incredible! The guitar player wore one of those nasty looking jackets that highway workers wear and the lead singer faced the band not the audience... awesome band...
  5:34am
Bill Mac:

Talk about missing a segway....
  5:36am
Looms:

We still have faith in you, Bill :)
  5:41am
Brian in UK:

Mornin' folks.
Is this what you call missing a Segway?
http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/14/segway-recalls-all-23-500-scooters-sold-due-to-software-glitch/
  5:49am
Bill Mac:

Wow that's pretty funny... a friend of mine actually has a business that's dependent on those contraptions...
  5:51am
Steve:

Link Wray - Link Wray may never get into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but his contribution to the language of rockin' guitar would still be a major one, even if he had never walked into another studio after cutting "Rumble." Quite simply, Link Wray invented the power chord, the major modus operandi of modern rock guitarists. Listen to any of the tracks he recorded between that landmark instrumental in 1958 through his Swan recordings in the early '60s and you'll hear the blueprints for heavy metal, thrash, you name it. - AMG
  5:57am
Bill Mac:

Thanks for the trib Steve, couldn't have put it better than that...
  5:58am
Looms:

Hehe, this is funny: a most popular comic book anti-hero named Gaston Lagaffe (by Franquin) is singing this 16 Tons somewhere; first time I hear the song, thanks!
  6:00am
Looms:

Nice Job Bill!
  6:00am
Bill Mac:

OK folks..... if you can't get enough of me today and can't wait til next Friday, I just want to let you know I'm back Sunday night/Monday morning 3am.... keep me company!!!
  6:01am
Steve:

We're in segway heaven - that clip was from the All Music Guide, but any time I hear a fender coming out of a Marshall somebodies gotta say something.
  6:01am
Stanley:

Thanks Bill another great show
  6:01am
Emile:

See you tomorrow Bill
  6:02am
Brian in UK:

God invented segues?
