  12:04pm
Alf from Upstate:

Welcome back to the streamwaves, Amanda!
  12:06pm
efd:

The Babys!
  12:08pm
Amanda:

Hi, all! Today's show will be a collaboration of sorts... partially. But right now it is my intellectual property alone. So glad to have you nice people with me!
  12:09pm
Skirkie:

I'm still in grumpy Ken withdrawal, so if you want to post some borderline NSFW animated gifs that'd be cool.
  12:13pm
Drummer Some:

Here on the stream, work is NSF Give the Drummer Radio!
  12:13pm
Amanda:

Skirkie, I never! I... am not sure what NSFW even means!
  12:15pm
artie:

It rhymes with "Blue".
  12:15pm
Skirkie:

It doesn't even apply at my W since all is S.
  12:15pm
efd:

I believe it stands for "Not Seen For a While."
  12:17pm
Drummer Some:

NSFW: 'Nother Scenario-Fueled Wednesday!
  12:17pm
Skirkie:

"Nachos, Sandwiches, Fine Wine" - It's a genre.
  12:18pm
Amanda:

Shucks, you guys are all so smart. What would I do without you? [giggle]

I endeavor to always be only borderline SFW. (meaning I will always be about to drink wine and eat a sandwich)

listener james from westwood:

Ah, y'all beat me to it in the acronym jungle gym. I will take hearing The Sundays as my consolation prize.
  12:29pm
Amanda:

See??? Did you EVER think you'd hear bagpipery like this on Nazario Scenario? I doubt it.
  12:30pm
Lizardner Dave:

And it's not even Rufus Harley.
  12:32pm
Amanda:

Hi Lizardner Dave!
  12:33pm
Drummer Some:

Of course, if you bring up Kurt on your show while he is bringing you up on his, that would create quite the feedback loop! (Feedback Loops were my favorite cereal growing up.)
  12:35pm
Lizardner Dave:

Hi Amanda. Wasn't sure if you were on today snce the playlist wasn't on the front page. Always great to hear you.
  12:43pm
Amanda:

Always helps to check! :-) Yay.
  12:54pm
Skirkie:

Not on the air.
  12:55pm
listener james from westwood:

what other streams can be blended in? a burst of the jm in the am stream in the midst of the proceedings would be out of control.
  12:55pm
Amanda:

That's a relief! But he said I was for about 20 mins. Crazytimes
  12:57pm
Amanda:

LJFW -- Man, that *would* be kind of exciting. I will look into it.
  12:57pm
Brian in UK:

Hello! Are you live? The 128k MP3 link still takes you to Kurts show playing some cool Hildergard of Bingen. Oops.
  12:58pm
listener james from westwood:

his might just be the stream of the live show, now that i look @ the page. he does have the live lunch thing on thursdays. if he ever goes a day early...
  12:59pm
Brian in UK:

Are we there yet? My teddy bears stopped breathing again.
  1:01pm

  1:11pm
Brian in UK:

It was a cool show on Sunday.
  1:16pm
Brian in UK:

What does anybody know about Cracker Barrel shops/eating places?
  1:19pm
Amanda:

Thanks! I was happy you were listening... I have never been to Cracker Barrel but I hear it's serviceable. Like Denny's kind of. Burgers and a buffet
  1:20pm
Skirkie:

Chicken n Dumplins

  1:24pm
Chicken and Waffles:

We'll kick your ass from here to the deep fryer and back, yo.
  1:25pm
Amanda:

Whooooa I want chicken and waffles now.
  1:26pm
glenn:

  1:27pm
Chicken and Waffles:

Sorry, Amanda, we're seeing somebody.
  1:29pm
Amanda:

Congrats on everything glenn! Hope that 3-chord monte premium treats you well (I am guessing here...)

C&W -- so am I, but I'm sure we can all work something out. You're just so special.
  1:29pm
Brian in UK:

glenn no one likes a showoff. Apart from DT. Two concise & faintly amusing jokes before end of skool today.
  1:30pm
glenn:

no. i didn't get that one actually. why didn't you have a premium, hmmm?
  1:31pm
Chicken and Waffles:

Hmmmm. Fried foods with benefits?
  1:32pm
Brian in UK:

Good call glenn. That's something to think 'bout for next year.
  1:32pm
glenn:

so, extra special happiness is showing off, is it?
  1:33pm
Drummer Some:

Oh no! Never, ever, ever go to a Cracker Barrel. Me and the fambly stopped at one along the Pennsylvania Turnpike the other day mid-journey back to Pittsburgh. Thought it would be a "goof." My so-called beef stew was out of a frickin can (if I'm lucky). Plus, there were Glenn Beck and NRA bumper stickers all over the parking lot. Scary.
  1:34pm
glenn:

i am not glenn beck, by the way.
  1:34pm
Brian in UK:

Yes it is when one has not received their swag.
  1:35pm
glenn:

when it shows up, you can be extra special happy, and we'll be happy for you.
  1:37pm
Brian in UK:

I'm happy for you glenn he said thru gritted teeth. Was it really that bad, Doug? I thought it was supposed to be faux americana. NRA does sound worrying.
  1:37pm
efd:

There were several lawsuits in the 90s related to mistreatment of minority customers, summarized in this article: http://bit.ly/kr89BR

It was a while ago and they may well have cleaned up their act, but I've still avoided them to this day.
  1:38pm
efd:

My previous comment refers to Cracker Barrel, btw.
  1:39pm
Brian in UK:

Thanks efd, bluddy scary they are not even centred in Mississippi.
  1:41pm
Brian in UK:

Where the heck can you eat 'safely' on a road trip?
Like the English tip, Miss Amanda.
  1:42pm
Amanda:

I knew about the same issues surrounding Denny's -- didn't know about them. Hehe, thanks Brian
  1:42pm
Drummer Some:

Brian in UK,
Make that faux-Amerikkkana.
  1:45pm
Ike:

Several years ago, I thought it was decent food by chain restaurant standards (yes, that's not saying much). Better than Denny's, at least.
  1:46pm
glenn:

my personal preference is to avoid the chains, and find neat little diners, etc., but it's not that easy, especially in canada. i usually go to tim horton's if i can't find someplace nifty.
  1:48pm
Chicken and Waffles:

We're hard to find in Canada.
  1:49pm
listener james from westwood:

whenever he drove out of the tri-state area, john gotti would go to cracker barrel if he could find one. for some reason he loved cb.
  1:49pm
Brian in UK:

In this country we are encourage to 'take a break' and then royally ripped off. Off the motorway truckrers caffs are the best bet.
Ah Mark Linkhous.
  1:51pm
Brian in UK:

HAMMERING IN THE CRAMPS
  1:52pm
glenn:

haven't you figured it out yet? we are totally about the chow.
  1:53pm
glenn:

which reminds me, brian, try chowhound.com for good eats.
  1:54pm
postmanpaul:

Some nice English tines in there too Amanda, enjoyed the show very much.
  1:55pm
Chicken and Waffles:

Meet you in Russia, Amanda.
  1:55pm
Brian in UK:

Thanks glenn enjoy the swag. No really.
  1:55pm
listener james from westwood:

safe travels, amanda, and thanks for the great show!
  1:56pm
Drummer Some:

Nazario Scenario, live from Budokan!
  1:56pm
glenn:

i'm assuming the scarf has to wait 'til winter.
  1:58pm
Amanda:

Thank you Postman Paul -- I'm so proud we got a crossover listener. (at least one!) Thanks so much for listening, you all See you on the other side of the Russian odyssey.
