  6:50am
Richard from Venezuela:

  6:57am
Richard from Venezuela:

Aus, In the 70's i like Vytas Brenner so much.
  6:59am
ausmanx:

yeah, the name rings a bell. the only reason i know spiteri is cos the wonderful VAMPISOUL reissued them. and annie, it was bad, but typical Western media... 500 dead in brazil, 200000 homeless in Sri Lanka, but we get 24/7 coverage of a few white folks in Queensland. it's a problem...
  7:03am
annie:

yes, i know.. it's all skewed, this media coverage of what's more newsworthy.. co-incidentally i'm reading "manufacturing consent" by noam chomsky.. only thing i'm wondering: did the floods wipe out the gmo crops there? hoping they did...although i realize australia is huge, so likely not, one can always hope
  7:06am
ausmanx:

monsanto's probably got 100000 secret hectares over here developing new strains. we are your client state, after all! i loved that story about the Haitians farmers being given thousands of sacks of GM by Monsanto after the earthquake last year, and the farmers piling them high and setting fire to them all ! are we off message here, Jason?
  7:07am
annie:

it did my heart good to see that story, yep.. and how are those gmo bananas, huh??? deeelish!
  7:10am
annie:

(i'm admin on the GMwatch page at FB.. i have nightmares sometimes)
  7:10am
annie:

and now,... it's all about the music
  7:13am
ausmanx:

good to know the FBI have a GM Watch page! oh...
those GM seeds make beautiful Flores de Fuego...
I'm doing subtitles for a Czech comedy tonight...
  7:23am
annie:

what fun!! i think i got a volunteer job copy-editing a zine premiering in may. ya never know where it may lead..
  7:24am
ausmanx:

rest assured, jason, we are paying GREAT attention to every note. but your listeners are very adept at multiskilling
  7:25am
annie:

tru dat
  7:26am
Brian from Boston:

Hi Jason,

I can build a computer! Been working as an engineer designing computers and network gear fro 30 years. Yes internet radio IS magic. Not even 5 years ago could I easily stream radio like you can today. As a longtime radio addict (going back to 60s AM) it's a dream come true.
  7:28am
annie:

brian i discovered the glory of streaming radio almost ten years ago when i discovered WFMU... it was my first, blush blush, there was no stopping me after that!
  7:33am
trojan:

ooooh yeah, just what I needed ! some peaking lights
  7:34am
annie:

..... and my ear has been glued to radio since i could turn the dial on our old 8-band radio.. waay back in the late 50s...
  7:38am
Brian from Boston:

annie, yes I was introduced to streaming more than five years ago but there were few streams, it was unreliable (network drops). I started at work because I work at acomputer (working now in fact) and we had high speed connections. Nowadays you just install iTunes and there's a directory of 1000s of streams you can just click on....no searching out the streams, no installing mulriple player apps, etc. You can even buy "internet radios" at BestBuy. Wish I had one in my car! ha ha
  7:40am
annie:

that's next, my friend.. and then.... i may even buy a car!
  7:45am
annie:

back when i first had internet, we had dial-up.. lots of interruptions, but it was worth every second of ear-joy!
  7:53am
Emile:

Looks like that NDR cassette is the second in a series, possibly a broadcast, which would explain its specific date.
  7:57am
Emile:

Also seems not to be a comp but just Renner and Gunther (together and/or separately). Probably not much help to you Jason. Agree it was pretty awesome.
  8:01am
dominique:

NDR ( North German Radio -> Hamburg), Renner is journalist and did the show. At that tiime NDR (public radio) had quite good music shows but it is a long time ago and now the brodcast mainly Mainstream and worth and yes not to forget weather forcast.
  8:02am
Emile:

NDR is Norddeutscher Rundfunk = North German Radio, out of Hamburg. So there you go, a radio broadcast out of 1982. Ok back to work.
  8:27am
Josh RVA:

Funky fresh indeed
  8:36am
R I S K Y !:

rad show!
  8:40am
Andrew:

deleting comments is not very nice though.
  8:52am
...:

"Los Je Dan " = bad day
  8:53am
R I S K Y !:

IT SHOWS! GOOD SET JASON!
  8:55am
annie:

i am not really concerned what you've deleted enough to cherry pick the past comments.. i'm here now and present. comments come and go, the music lives
  8:58am
maja NL:

am i too late? Nice show Jason
  8:59am
Djelbogen:
