As a young lad, I was taken with a 60 Minutes interview with the original staff of Mad Magazine. They had a small drum kit RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OFFICE and every time someone said something funny, whoever was handy would hit the cymbal.
"That," I told myself back then, "is how all adults should live."
pontificate:
Too bad I missed that MAD episode from my childhood: it's now copyrighted footage.
greysoul:
"Copyrighted footage"? It should be available on a continuous loop for all.
Knile:
peep:
JJ: will you install that for the next episode?!
The footage might actually be seeable: i'm running on a 2500 second delay here & the only one that vaguely started stated it as such.
Hmm: bleh.
greysoul:
I've been living with a memory of watching it at a much younger age. By 1987, the voices in my head were much more entertaining than anything on television. Plus, the Mad crew were much more manic in my memory.
Don't show me any more. I'm not even going to begin to discuss my early National Lampoon daydreams.
period:
National Lampoon for next time!
Lovely show, JJ! Tight mix of so many nice things.
G'night, peoples
