Oh, no! I didn't make the connection between Pearl Harbor Day & the world's love of Hawaiian music back in the 1920s & 1930s (and it looks like the 40s & 50s too).

It is great to listen to on any day -- at least that's my opinion.

A Dutch band playing Hawaiian-style music in the early 1930s . . . It reminds me of reading a memoir by a Russian woman of life in the 1910s-1920s, who talked about a lonely poet in her building in who played Hawaiian guitar late at night . . .
