Ok, I hate to be the one who can't tell the difference, but has the internet stream gone haywire, or is that how this track is supposed to sound?
9:46am
Nate in Detroit:
...re: that Kap Bambino track
9:53am
Nate in Detroit:
ok, turns out it was my stream. i youtube'd the song and it was nothing like the glitched up mess coming through my headphones...i would've been a little disappointed in myself had it really been a song that was just too out there for me.

Lea:
This set is pretty much making my morning over here in Ithaca, NY a sunny one! tanks:)
10:05am
tim:
Tanks back atcha, Lea! Go knock on McNab's old front door!
10:07am
Dan B From Upstate:
Hello Ithaca from Utica!
10:10am
Wendy del Formaggio:
Tim, do you have a regular program on FMU? I'm a regular listener/volunteer and I don't recall seeing you on the schedule. Are you on during the overnights or something?
10:11am
LT:
Good morning, TL. Your show sounds great!
10:12am
critter:
yo yo space cadets from Charlotte, N.C.
10:12am
Dan B From Upstate:
Interesting the way you name every set in your playlist. I like it. Is this your first fill in, or a you a FMU DJ from the olden days before playlists who has come back?
10:18am
Lea:
Hey Tim, by McNab you mean Dr. Sagan, I'm supposing. If so, his old house is very surreal to behold, overlooking a gorge, like a giant boxy warehouse. No other house like it in Ithaca. Looks like its from the desert of Nevada really.
And hey Dan from Utica, hope you are loving the cold front!
10:25am
tim:
Lea: Did CS live in Cornell's Area 51? I meant V. V. Nabokov... pseudonyms in abundance: Vivian Darkbloom, etc.
10:32am
critter:
"Peaches en Regalia" maybe?
10:36am
Lea:
oooh yea! forgot about that.. Nabokov lived in many houses in Ithaca, so that would require a whole lot of knocking on doors. .CS lived here too. famous for partying, no doubt, oh and "nuclear winter."
10:42am
OM:
Killer show today, Tim. Hope to hear more from you!
10:42am
tim:
Lea: Cragie Circle? Maybe that was Wellesley.
10:43am
tim:
OM: Aum.
10:46am
tim:
Dan B: Anything to tie it together... like vital gluten. I did a fill-in for Ken about 18 months ago, then went for much need treatment and refinishing.
10:52am
MGreen:
TL: I'm listening and enjoying. I advised Liz to listen, too, but she may ignore my advice.
10:52am
Lea:
Tim: That seems to be the Harvard Area 51.
10:53am
tim:
MGreen: My eyes eat your words with relish! Tell Liz I'll never forget her hud.
10:56am
tim:
Okay: Carl Sagan was an astronomer, Vladimir Nabokov a lepidopterologist -- oh and he wrote some too. Discuss.
10:57am
Light of My Life:
Fire of my loins!

Rebecca in Hoboken:
Hey Everyone and Tim. I'm archivist Rebecca who puts up most of the shows after they are recorded. Tim filled-in for Ken in April of 2009. I believe it was his first show not counting the ones he does hosting Dave Emory during the marathons. That one was archived in the listener hour (lh) playlist for some reason. (I just followed orders.) Tim, you're doing a great show! It's hard to move a whole playlist or I'd just move the lh show to this playlist. I will put up a link to it if you want so everyone can check it out. (Everyone who doesn't read this and will just go to the lh playlist page.) Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!!!
11:23am

11:24am

11:24am
Wendy del Formaggio:
Thanks, Rebecca! Now I know who Tim is -- I have often sat next to him in the phone room during Dave Emory's marathon show. Hi Tim! It's Wendy who likes to knit :-)
11:24am

Thanks, Rebecca! Loved your interview on Night People a few weeks back, BTW.
