Hello Irene! Nice opening.
Are Jeremy Cohen and Matt Munisteri going to play live?
  12:17pm
Jack:

I'm still trying to get used to you being on at noon, Irene. You were 3 o'clock forever; used to set my watch by you.
  12:34pm

  1:04pm
Sean Gostage:

Hi Irene,
rushed back from the pub and forgot that our clocks went back an hour yesterday so at the moment there is a four hour time difference so have missed an hour of your wonderful programme, damn and tarnation!!!
  1:05pm
Mike East:

hold on...did the clocks go back yesterday?
  1:07pm
Looms:

They did in Europe.
  1:07pm
Sean Gostage:

Mike,
I take it you are somwhere in the US, I think your clocks go back next weekend
  1:09pm
postmanpaul:

Saturday evening in the UK,ME. Only four hours ahead here makes it kinda little cosyerer!
  1:09pm
Mike East:

Aha! I knew it was coming up soon.
  1:23pm
postmanpaul:

Down the Greenwich meridian line in Europe, countries benefit by choosing to have an hour longer than the UK before sunset. Pooh.
  1:24pm
postmanpaul:

Nice to here them fiddling fingers, Liz.
  1:29pm
postmanpaul:

...an hour longer of daylight, that is. Or an hour later of a longer day before it gets really dark, that is. I think.
  1:37pm
postmanpaul:

But more dragons fly out of sooty chimney pots undetected in France in the still-menacingly-darker early mornings to snatch school children off the streets and eat them in their lairs, however.
  1:40pm
Mike East:

That's the one good thing about living in the U.S....no dragons.
  1:48pm
Clay:

Mahavishnu! Hi Irene.
  1:49pm
Clay:

I like the autumnal palette.
  1:51pm
Sean Gostage:

Loving Jeremy Cohn, perfect for the chore of a spot of ironing, but please I don't mean to be demeaning to these wonderful sounds,
  1:52pm
SmokinJ:

Nice playing Jeremy. Greetings Irene and friends..
  1:56pm
postmanpaul:

Hey, SmokinJ! How's tricks sir?
  2:00pm
SmokinJ:

Top o' the day to you Dr. Paul! It's a fine harvest fall day here my friend!
  2:01pm
postmanpaul:

Top o' the crop to you!
  2:04pm
SmokinJ:

Ain't life grand?
  2:05pm
Mike East:

I never get sick of this song.
  2:05pm
postmanpaul:

We're livin' the dream SmokinJ.
  2:07pm
SmokinJ:

By the way, a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grace Slick!
  2:11pm
postmanpaul:

Yeah, come on down Papa John Creach!
  2:13pm
SmokinJ:

Speaking of fiddles! :)
  2:13pm
postmanpaul:

Grace can do no wrong in my book. I even forgive her pop single moments.
  2:15pm
SmokinJ:

In later life Grace apologized for some of that shit as well :)
  2:16pm
SmokinJ:

We seem to get wise when we get old...
  2:16pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

The first two lines of this Dan Hicks song totally cracked me up.
Nice to hear you on the air, Irene! I haven't been home on a Monday since the new schedule started. I'm glad to be home today, listening to the radio.
  2:16pm
Mike East:

I recently acquired the "We built this city" 7". The album cover is ridiculous.
  2:17pm
SmokinJ:

Oddly Mike I actually dig that song 'in a way' ;)
  2:18pm
postmanpaul:

No way! But what she did was always top-drawer-genre.
  2:19pm
postmanpaul:

No way re her apols...
  2:21pm
SmokinJ:

The early Airplane and Great! Society stuff is the best, but in the times that the Starship survived in it's understandable..
  2:21pm
postmanpaul:

The beginning of the opening track off Manhole still makes me wet my pants with frightening joy.
  2:22pm
Mike East:

Ted Leo and Jon Wurster did an acoustic version on The Best Show for the marathon (I think). I remember loving that song when I was a kid. I think I had an image in my head of some awesome Rock N Roll city...not sure what I thought that was at the time.
  2:23pm
SmokinJ:

It's all good!
  2:24pm
SmokinJ:

Well if there's a 'Rock & Roll' city, San Francisco's got my vote!
  2:34pm
postmanpaul:

SmokinJ - is this Nick Cave vid up your street?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rgm2xLjMxjk
  2:39pm
SmokinJ:

No
  2:42pm
postmanpaul:

Ha!
  2:44pm
SmokinJ:

Irene: The set gets better and better!
  2:51pm
Sean Gostage:

Havt to totally agree, SmokinJ, another rather marvellous set from our Irene, worship the ground, etc, etc
  2:57pm
postmanpaul:

A beautifully assembled set Irene.
  2:58pm
Dale from North Dakota:

Was that Pink Floydish song that just ended "Microdisney"?
  2:59pm
Looms:

Thx as usual Irene.
  2:59pm
Irene:

No, it was The Clientele's "Bonfires on the Heath," One of my fave's from the past year.
  3:00pm
Dale from North Dakota:

Wow, I agree, that was an awesome song. Buying the album from iTunes now. Thanks, Irene!
  3:00pm
SmokinJ:

Are we havin' fun yet? I sure am! 8-)
  12:39pm
Van in Dallas:

  4:55pm
