	1:54pm Jack Torrance: I get the sense that Penderecki is a composer first and a conductor second. From what I gather, the orchestra had a bit of a difficult time getting in synch with him at first, and there were a couple difficult rehearsals. But performance was good; he conducted his Resurrection Symphony, which is a recent piece and represents a turn back toward more conventional orchestral sounds.
