Listener comments!

  12:04pm
dave in vermont:

I heard this on WRUV, moy other favorite station, a couple weeks ago and thought it was the on air DJ doing it. Sounds great-reminds me of Pauline Oliveros in the cistern.
  12:04pm
tj:

no more biebz 800% slower... ughhhh, sorry Liz B, i can deal. i know you won't disappoint otherwise.
  12:05pm
Liz B.:

Can't resist it, so pretty!
  12:06pm
Matti:

This is quite lovely.
  12:08pm
Kelly Jones:

I LOVE this.
-Kelly
  12:09pm
Liz B.:

I almost want to play Enya next.
  12:10pm
Tom:

John Tesh. Dare ya.
  12:10pm
still b/p:

I think someone asked already, but what does that fairly normal vocal pitch that's in there sound like in the original when it's 800% faster than this ?
  12:12pm
Kelly Jones:

I double dare you Liz Berg!
  12:12pm
seen daily:

Woooohoooo!!!!! First comment 800% slower!
  12:13pm
Liz B.:

You can actually preserve the pitch in many audio editing programs, even if you use a time shift. There are usually a lot of bad glitchy artifacts, but this one is well done.
  12:13pm
annie:

i think i'm glad i have no idea who this performer is...i mean J.B.
  12:13pm
don tesh:

triple dog, liz...
  12:14pm
still b/p:

Play some of Tesh's Intelligence For Your Life surveys and tips 800% slower.
  12:17pm
don tesh:

did a little search.. dude has album called 'sax on the beach' ! fuckin rugged subliminal, john tesh !
  12:17pm
PMD:

En- Ja!
  12:17pm
BT:

Celtic Thunder, please
  12:17pm
Chris from DC:

Wow, didn't think you'd really do it.
  12:17pm
tj:

enya 800% slower!
  12:18pm
Tom:

Hahaha ... there is no turning back. I like your crystals.
  12:18pm
Liz B.:

My fave John Tesh moment was this keytar number he did with Dweezil Zappa on Conan sometime in the '90s... I posted the vid on WFMU's blog a few years back.
  12:18pm
Ike:

Ha! Liz Berg, you are a totally bad-ass rebel.
  12:19pm
still b/p:

You took the double-dog dare! Now the tongue of my mind is stuck to the cold metal pole of effects-laden affectation...but your mischief is grinworthy.
  12:24pm
Swami:

Dare I call this set ethereal? I just dared to.
  12:24pm
pierre:

bonjour Liz !
  12:25pm
Parq:

Okay, here's what we need. Someone takes, oh, say Enya, and slows it down 800%. Then some musicians take a careful listen and reproduce the results manually. Then someone records that and speeds it up 800%. How much like the original would it sound?
  12:26pm
don tesh:

sorry.. had to step away.. dweezil and tesh had to be seen immediately.. and with the lady in the sound proof booth?! golden age conan. good look, liz.
  12:27pm
still b/p:

Parq - please cc People like Us & Ergo.
  12:30pm
Parq:

Stil - I'm thinking someone needs to do the JB/800 version live at the next marathon finale.
  12:31pm
MostUnderratedListener:

there' someone ringing at the door
  12:33pm
still b/p:

Controlled Irish whiskey dosages should get the tempo down down down to the sweet spot.
  12:36pm
bw:

you the best brat!
  12:37pm
Ike:

J. Biebz must not sound very good sped up 800% and set to a hard fast crazy breakcore beat or Jason Forrest presumably would've already done it.
  12:40pm
MostUnderratedListener:

wipers on speed? ;o) think they sound at 45 or 78rpm equally great too
  12:41pm
Liz B.:

I am clearly having issues with the time-space continuum today.
  12:46pm
MostUnderratedListener:

no probs with that... but before dropping through the time-space levels and the door into the next dimension, don't forget to open it... otherwise it could be painful
  12:47pm
jeremy:

@MUL - so that was you at your door then?
  12:49pm
stingy d:

hello everyone
  12:50pm
MostUnderratedListener:

i hardly believe... haven't seen it really... just black and some stars flashing here and there and the sound of wood smashing on wood
  12:51pm
Billy Pilgrim & Dave Bowman:

Welcome, Liz.
  12:52pm
Liz B.:

Hi Billy, Dave, and Stingy! Hope you're making your way through the psychedelic muck.
  1:02pm
stingy d:

i'm indeed diggin it, always do.
  1:02pm
Marshall Stacks:

Good morning, Liz. A most enjoyable show this morning!
  1:29pm
Ike:

Is the 32k AAC+ stream crackly and staticky for anybody else? Does anybody else even use it? 128k MP3 and Ogg streams sound fine though.
  1:29pm
stingy d:

watching a terrible, terrible, terrible basketball game. luckily i'm not hearing the lame sounds of the pitiful announcer and someone just threw a pass off someone else's head.
  1:29pm
jeremy:

love the guitars in this grass window track. meshes well with the girls singing. clean and crisp.
  1:31pm
bennett4senate:

hi liz
  1:36pm
tj:

aww man, i missed a bunch of really great stuff on my lunch break. i'm back to hear a snippet or two before a meeting.
  1:39pm
bennett4senate:

wow I just went back and watched that John Tesh / zappas clip, amazing find liz
  1:40pm
Liz B.:

Ha ha, yeah I'm so glad I was able to dig that up on the internet a few years ago. That was my greatest memory of Conan's show!
  1:46pm
Looms:

Enjoying the show, thanks Liz!
  1:56pm
nadnerb:

  1:57pm
Liz B.:

Glad someone noticed! Good job nadnerb.
  1:59pm

  2:26pm
Bucky Gunts:

  2:27pm
Jeff M:

Ch-ch-ch-ch-CHAH!

I just had to agree with that sentiment.
  2:29pm
Crispin Hellion Glover:

It Is Fine!
EVERYTHING IS FINE.
  2:31pm
