Suite drumming indeed!
  3:11pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

  3:13pm
Shirley:

On the good ship Vodka Pop...
  3:15pm
Matt from Springfield:

Irwin, did you catch Ken's morning show? I listen to that on occasion, but it was really good today--reminiscent of stuff you play. He had the GTOs, Pomplamoose, a VERY creepy found-sound tape, a Catholic record from the 365 Days Project about not giving in to sexuality, and a HALF SPEED playing of American Standard's "Bathroom" song. Outta sight!
  3:16pm
Matt from Springfield:

Woo hoo! Amanda enters the digital age!
  3:18pm
Dan B From Upstate:

Wow. Amanda is pretty tech savvy.
  3:18pm
slugluv1313:

GO AMANDA!!!!!!!!!! COOOOOOOOOOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3:19pm
PMD:

Wow, that's some creepy girl in the left side of the front of the poster.
You should mash up this song with the Cookie Monster.
  3:19pm
seang:

that Amanda CD is the Perfect Room-Clearer!
  3:20pm
Mike East:

I think they're all kinda creepy.
  3:22pm
Corey:

Where I can I pick up the Amanda recordings on the interwebs..
  3:23pm
Denise in DC:

Damn. I was so absorbed in work I didn't realize till now that I had no 'FMU on.
  3:26pm
Matt from Springfield:

YEEEEEESSSSS!!! I have NEVER heard this on the radio before, despite it's awesomeness--thank you Irwin!
  3:26pm
seang:

Wish I could be like Amanda
  3:27pm
D. Watts from Muswell Hill:

I do receive quite a bit of attention because of this song, but believe me, I'm not all I'm cracked up to be...
  3:30pm
Matt from Springfield:

"David Watts" followed up by Tame Impala? I'm in an ecstatic fit! I don't want to come down! Outta my way, World--I'm thrilled!

@Denise: I wonder if it's possible to pick up 'FMU telepathically, by intuition, if you forget to turn it on.
  3:31pm
PMD:

My significant other just walked in and was excited to hear the kinks song. I wasn't paying attention. doh... sorry Irwin.
  3:34pm
don:

how the fuck did i miss digital cookie?
  3:40pm
Matt from Springfield:

Voicedude is pretty good at mashing-up.
  3:40pm

  3:53pm
nestor:

ah, that sultry dj voice....
  3:54pm
ironic listener:

i love listening to a snarkerrific voice.
  3:54pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I always picture Irwin talking with his eyes closed, shaking his head slightly in either direction
  3:55pm
Laura L:

Grossen Hosen, big pants, that's right. Whereas toten Hosen literally means dead pants, but as a German idiom means a boring place. Go figure. UCB tonight will be no toten Hosen!
  3:55pm
nestor:

lol
  4:04pm
Matt from Springfield:

I like the Silver Apples. "The Owl", by Silver Apples? If only The Owls had a song called "Silver Apples", the circle would be complete.
  4:05pm
The Owls:

Who!?
  4:07pm
PMD:

@ Laura - I like that and will use it often.
  4:09pm
Matt from Springfield:

Oops, maybe not THOSE kind of owls...
  4:10pm
Lizardner Dave:

Visions of a shirtless Chuck Heston being chased by apes are appearing in my brain.
  4:10pm

What a biased, one-sided view of that cruel dumbass' campaign of terror against our brother flies. Surely you will suffer bad karma and<SMOOSH>
  4:25pm
PMD:

HEY! I got a voice right! Suzanne.
Irwin, I'm scared of you now.
  4:25pm
Peanut Gallery:

Checking in while busy applying for government jobs. What beautiful music! Thanks Irwin. There is an eternally dead beaver across the street from my house -- I had nothing to do with it, just saw it while walking after getting off MARTA's 132 bus. I wouldn't hurt a beaver.
  4:25pm
Monk:

Flies are germy. You have cooties now. Don't get them on the CD's!!!
  4:28pm
ginger tim:

Why am I thinking of the Tiger Lillies' Flies? Is "fist" a euphemism, Irwin?
  4:30pm
north guinea hills:

The lab!
  4:31pm
that fly:

but think of all the literary and cultural references we have provided for you ungrateful people..."fly on the wall", etc. I'm sure there are more...
  4:31pm
Ken from Hyde Park:

Hi...I've been on vacation (Lisbon, North Dakota) the last couple of weeks. I'm at the public library and figured I'd check in. At home, though, the laptop's audio output isn't working. When I'm back home, I'll be able to listen on the 90.1 FM signal again. I'm proudly wearing my dog/cow WFMU T-shirt today. Cheers!
  4:32pm
superflystraightpukingonyourpie:

this music is fly
  4:33pm

PMD:

Oh how wonderful! Dropkick me Irwin!
  4:51pm
Matt from Springfield:

"Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goal posts of life, lest the Devil pull me away like Lucy and the football."
  4:51pm
Hank Williams Jr.:

Are You Ready For Some Football?
  4:51pm
Agrajag:

Squish me good, Irwin, on the counter of life.
  4:57pm
Matt from Springfield:

Lush, layered, beautiful piece from Anne Dudley here.
  4:59pm
Laura L:

Anne Dudley--love her Jeeves & Wooster too. She's terrific.
  5:02pm
Jim Duffy:

Yes, digging this Anne Dudley track. Really cool.
  5:05pm
Peanut Gallery:

P. Gallery = Audience for H.Doody (legal-football marionette); Playlist Picture = Garland (tragic dummy); Coincidence?

David:

NOOOOOO! I missed Amanda!
  5:08pm
PMD:

Now I know why you like Jessica.
  5:09pm
Robert Brenner:

That Sam Bardfeld piece was quite beautiful. I'm going to have to track down the album.
  5:09pm
Matt from Springfield:

I like being consumed with Jessica at a distance!
  5:14pm
David:

Does Amanda cover any spirituals Irwin?
  5:15pm
Matt from Springfield:

I thought it was everything of Randy Newman's after 1974 ("in the past 35 years", you once said), which coincides with his "Good Old Boys" album; which makes sense, I don't like anything of Randy's past that album either.
  5:24pm
David:

OMG YESSSSS!!!! This is so spooky!
  5:24pm
Matt from Springfield:

Yes! But I have a question: which Stone from Cookieland is Empire Le Funk!
  5:25pm
David:

God when she does the indian hoot thing the whole office here falls in the floor laughing LMAO
  5:27pm
David:

Masterpiece!

I've been watching this video with Amanda's voice replacing the soundtrack (which I don't understand anyway): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZet4-iX3fo
  5:37pm
Laura L:

This one's even better than the Congresswoman's Ramamamnov pieces! Thanks, Irwin.
  5:39pm
Matt from Springfield:

Black Cow! You've been playing the 'Dan quite a bit recently. Keep playing the Aja album, that's my favorite!
  5:54pm
Matt from Springfield:

First time I heard Antje--evidently she was German-born--you could've fooled me from her excellent American folk style.
  5:54pm
Mike East:

Patti Labelle just walked past me...weird.
  5:59pm
Peanut Gallery:

TTRH wyh BD!
  5:59pm
tq:

Your mic levels are so bass-heavy I can't take it!
  6:00pm
