Listener comments!

  9:21pm
Rachel D.:

this song is marvelous!
  9:26pm
efd:

you're talking about the "Soul Mate" song, right? Glad you liked it, that was a random record sale find over the weekend.
  9:33pm
Danne D:

Hi EFD :) Hi Funk Fans! That first set was fabulous :) No wonder all the ladies want to be Evan's soulmate :)
  9:35pm
Danne D:

That 2nd song was outstanding btw. Look forward to the live set.
  9:36pm
efd:

hey Danne, thanks for checking in!
  9:36pm
john:

Hey Evan! And yes, that record was damn near as good as the godlikle Brownsville Station!

And if anyone needs a backup first baseman, well, you know where to find me...
  9:38pm
Danne D:

You should call it the mid-show ticket oasis. same song. Just one more syllable :) Hey John. If we could start 8 first basemen I'd be right there :)
  9:42pm
Brian:

Yay. EFD's show sounds as good five time zones ahead as it does three time zones behind.
  9:44pm
efd:

Hey Brian, good to have you listening in the UK as opposed to the CA! Danne, that's not the worst idea in the world. Neither of those ideas, actually. John, I'm overloaded with 1Bs myself!
  9:47pm
cheri:

hiya evan,,,i'm enjoying the show so far,,,which brings me to a request,,,could you please play some candi staton tunes tonite???thnx efd
  9:48pm
john:

Actually, both of you have a better stock of them than I do! But I've got you beat for crappy closers!
  9:50pm
Rachel D.:

A+ transition from strange attractor to the health remix!
  9:56pm
efd:

thanks Rachel!

Cheri, I think you need to get some new requests.
  9:57pm
Will:

You go, Evan! Anything you play is what we wanna hear to a point positively devotional, Out Here Will J
  9:59pm
seang:

cool song right here
  10:01pm
efd:

Will, I like the way you think. You too, Sean!
  10:03pm
john:

Man, if that Mantles track had come out in 1986 when it should have I'd have been screaming that they're the best band in the world. And there was a Jazz Butcher spinoff project called Stranger Tractors, though it needs to be pronounced with an English accent.
  10:03pm
cheri:

how about some riaa???
  10:09pm
AZ:

Thrilled to be back listening live after 10 days on the road! LJP & I are eating Chinese food and digging the show. That Pleasure Kills track was amazing--it reminded me of Human Switchboard (there can be no higher praise; at least not from me this evening).
  10:11pm
efd:

Not as thrilled as I am, AZ! Yeah, Pleasure Kills are great - I'm psyched to have them on! Regards to LJP - are you guys going to the Paul F. Tompkins show later?
  10:14pm
cheri:

evan---you don't have any riaa tonite??
  10:17pm
efd:

I do not.
  10:19pm
WFMU idiot:

Please do not harass the DJ--Peace brothers and sisters
  10:19pm
cheri:

tnx anyway evan--g'nite
  10:20pm
AZ:

We're too wiped out to make it out the door to PFT this time. Next month!
  10:34pm
efd:

I was thinking that might be the case... I'm happy to entertain you while you recuperate!
  10:46pm
chris_toronto:

Blue Cheer's 'Out of Focus': nice staple in the EFD hit-list. love it.
  10:53pm
randy in NC:

That's me!
  11:05pm
efd:

yeah Randy! Maybe you can make it to one of those two Big Hair & Plastic Grass events!
  11:17pm
AZ:

The first Speed The Plough album is one of the great lost records of the 80's. (But only on vinyl. They remixed the tracks for CD, and the results were unspectacular.)
  11:19pm
sweaty:

new age dance party
  11:22pm
efd:

I have to admit that album was certainly overlooked by me... I'll have to go back and check it out.

Work it, sweaty!
  11:26pm
