A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Good morning all! i think a nature piece will be so calming to start the day, so why am i not calm?
  9:16am
hamburger:

sounded like there was some tension in the air to me, but guess that's how highly strung I am!
  9:16am
chris:

Seems difficult to feel calm these days and it's partly nature's fault
  9:17am
still b/p:

Experiencing sympathetic Gulf toxin reaction, maybe.

Tom and his Jones sometimes makes me sick. This song makes me sick. I still like it. Sick lyrics...
  10:13am
listener gary:

My radio is silent. Is Mt Hope off the air?
  10:13am
trouble:

they are not appearing on my page.....wha?
  10:14am
Ne-guh-tor:

Tom and his Jones are sort of like Barry White, he could just be a presumptuous dickhead or a serial killer. A psychopath or something......
  10:20am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

is Tom Jones an "alleged" psychopath or are you just shootin the shit?
  10:21am
trouble:

Mt hope should not be off air... i am checking.
  10:25am
Jennique:

Good morning Trouble! Thanks for starting my day with some ska! I saw good ole Dave Wakeling and co. at Maxwells not far back. Love that guy.Too bad Ranking Roger was not there. They are quite a pair.
  10:29am
Ken From Hyde Park:

I was listening to 90.1 FM in my car about 10 minutes ago.

This all sounds great!
  10:51am
chuck in ct:

its johnny thunders birthday ,,,,,how about a thunders tune!!
  10:52am
PMD:

Mornin'! time for breakfast...
  10:52am
Ne-guh-tor:

Dead Corporate Eyes: Oh, just shootin' the shit! Tom didn't even write that stuff I bet, but the sentiment (tell her what she wants to hear and don't let her go!) on one level sounds like an aloof womanizers mind but on another lever a serial rapist might think the same thing. Barry White same way, you can read his lyrics one way or you can read them like, You GONNA be makin' love to me tonight. See what I mean?
  10:53am
Pat in Philadelphia:

Holy Moley, Trouble! That Polar Bear track was hot stuff!
  10:55am
Jennique:

Ah, what a sweet, samba version of Teenage Kicks. Should be sung in Portuguese just to make it more swishy.
  10:58am
Ne-guh-tor:

Sort of like some of the old Christian hymns like 'He Touched Me' on one level you can read it like, "Oh, wow, Jesus has entered his soul." or "Oh, wow, Jesus has penetrated his ass." Lots of hymns sound like somebody wants God to get it on with them or has recently got it on with them and they are having a smoke..
  11:02am
annie:

i love you trouble..
  11:02am
ffrr:

It's Linda Ronstadt's birthday. Please don't play her. Do you have the new Maya (if that's how it's supposed to go, instead of m.i.a)?
  11:02am
Jennique:

The sculpture of The Ecstasy of St Teresa by Bernini comes to mind, but that is not a song. Wasn't the song You Light Up My Life about Jesus? Warped my mind when I found that out. Just like when I found out Kasey Kasem was the voice of Shaggy.
  11:05am
Ne-guh-tor:

Jennique: Exactly! Amy Grant had some double entendre goin on in some of her "hits" too. And Kasem is STILL the voice of Shaggy!
  11:07am
Stickler:

the village GREEN preservation society
  11:12am
Jennique:

This song is great. I love the idea of all the young men shape-shifting into something else.
  11:14am
trouble:

stickler: oops, merci.
  11:14am
trouble:

yes annie that was for YOU!
  11:20am
ffrr:

thanks trouble
  11:20am
PMD:

@ Jenniqe - really?? you just blew my mind.
  11:22am
PMD:

@ ne-guh-tor - lol! as a person raised Catholic,it makes me want to go back and check them all out.
  11:23am
Ne-guh-tor:

Grew up Baptist, PMD. Talk about repressed!
  11:24am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

at least the Baptists got to clap their hands and hallelujah once in awhile. Catholics had to sit still and wait for the wrath of God.
  11:25am
annie:

it made me smile... thanks..glad the audio stream was back up..
  11:26am
Ne-guh-tor:

That would be a good show theme:
Let Jesus F**k You! and play all the double entendre hits like 'Just as I am'. Thats a HOT one!
  11:28am
Ne-guh-tor:

Lamb of God I come, I COME!
  11:29am
Ne-guh-tor:

HAHAHAHAHAHA!
  11:29am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

never would have guessed this was the Black Keys
  11:31am
Mike East:

I was just gonna say that. Who's playing keys? I thought they were a two piece.
  11:31am
Mike East:

Cool song though. I like it.
  11:31am
still b/p:

Linda Blair said LJFY, of course, but it would be different if sung and with a sweet "I'm saved" joy voice, and not a growly demon exclamation.
  11:31am
Lucky:

Holy Crow! What a mix!
  11:32am
Ne-guh-tor:

Oh, shit, I just got struck by lightening!
  11:34am
Ne-guh-tor:

I had an idea years back to make a country gospel record that featured double entendre gospel songs back to back that would leave everyone guessing.
  11:34am
annie:

there's an interesting mood in the room today.. especially for trouble's show.. but hey!! it's cool.
  11:36am
Ne-guh-tor:

Sorry, annie, it was Tom Jones fault!
  11:36am
still b/p:

Demi-monde, imp, perversion and things diabolical, all in one playlist entry. Beelzebubbly!
  11:36am
annie:

i'm postponing the adventure which is before me: to replace the kitchen faucet... .. lord knows what i'll find when i take that thing off..
  11:37am
annie:

no, really ne-guh-tor..... it's really all good.. i'm tickled actually to see it, kinda kinky and bad and sinful
  11:41am
Ne-guh-tor:

That's Tom and I, annie: kinda kinky and bad and sinful!
  11:43am
annie:

what a great song this is...
  11:45am
Ne-guh-tor:

Oh, and don't dare touch that faucet. Slippery slopes they are!
  11:47am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I like the smelly goop that lives underneath the faucet...I think it's the gasket disintegrating and coming to life.
  11:47am
Happy Listener:

Wow, those were the spookiest steel drums I've ever heard back there. Great show, Trouble!
  11:49am
Happy Listener:

"han dynasty side a"... sounds more like "Fajardo Zombie Shuffle"
  11:53am
v k:

once again, amazing show Trouble - thank you - looking fwd to listening again from achieves when i'm in a spacey state-of-mind
  11:54am
jaypee:

Holy shit, I'm really digging this Banjo or Freakout track..
  11:54am
trouble:

thanks v k!
  11:55am
Jennique:

A spacey state-of-mind is a good place to be. Trouble is the ultimate enabler with this song.
  11:59am
annie:

ne-guh-tor, i can't see where to turn off the water, i might have an out. hehe.. this plumbing job is 50 years old and cob all the way through
