Now...what flavor of dougnuts are customary for a moment of fearful, mournful shock followed by blessed relief? Thanks for staying in one form/stream or another, Doug.

My family is from the Pittsburgh area. Father from McKeesport (Goodman's jewelry was Uncle Sam's), Mother from Brownsville (up the Youghegenny from there). It's an area of Croatian settlement (accounting for Mother's side), and the Croatian Fraternal Union is in Monroeville. Uncle Eddie lived in Squirrel Hill. The water's pretty awful, the air was rapidly improving but still left a lot to desire last I was there, but it's a nice place otherwise. Of course it all depends on the people you deal with there, as everywhere.

The answer is YES. This new stream will be very similar to the fine Rock 'n' Soul Ichiban stream/blog. The one difference is that I will be doing Give the Drummer Some LIVE on this stream. When I am not on the air, the stream will run a continuous rotation of amazing music that I will be curating.

That surprised me, too! Lightsey must've been awfully young to be recording in '65. I remember being personally introduced to him back in the early '80s and he looked young then.
