I didn't go to my ceremony. the year before when my sis graduated, serial philanderer and Michigan governor Jim Blanchard gave the commencement speech. He spent half the time yelling at the students who were booing him.

The poem with music at around 10 AM had an uncharacteristically happy ending. Usually when they start out about "that fateful day", you expect a somewhat similar story about a chain of events (with very loose causal cx), but ending in a murder-suicide or something! This one by contrast just could've been a very circuitous PSA for syphilis screening & rx.

Sure it was WONDERFUL, if that's what you meant. Almost like a Bob & Ray act in terms of setting up false expectations. It's not the dates with the boss that lead to tragedy, then it's not Uncle Leo who leads to tragedy, then it turns out NONE of it leads to tragedy, just a brief spat that everybody gets over.
