  3:25am
paper mache food:

swweet! which part of the landscape are you looking to have ears?
  3:30am
Jake:

love the echo on your voice. it's trippy on my noise canceling headphones.

go to california you hippie.
  3:32am
TD:

anything from Dennis Wilson's Pacific Ocean Blue
  3:32am
Jake:

not likely to be played, because it's a little outside the style, but I love the Dre/Tupac "California Love."

Zeppelin's "Going to California" is cliche, but a great track.

i assume we're getting an "Estimated" in here somewhere?
  3:33am
Jake:

oooh, if you've got it, the reggae cover of Estimated is just too good
  3:34am
pmf:

hey! play thomas jefferson kaye's ""northern california""! you;ll love it!! maybe!!
  3:38am
jj.:

probably no "estimated." already have a (GASP!!) weir-related track picked out for later, and two weir tunes in one show would *definitely* kick-in FMU's protective grid.

will ponder others...
  3:38am
big boy:

Err..California Dreaming! Yeah..!
  3:44am
jj.:

ah, yes, BB! of course. totally had one of those put aside for this show, and forgot about 'til you reminded me. thanks!
  3:49am
pmpf:

travel advice on the state of ca... http://www.papermonument.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/PMWEB_slide_12.jpg (works especially well while listening to this track)
  3:50am
big boy:

Sometimes the one right under yer nose goes completely unpicked..! Oh dear I didn't mean ...
  3:50am
jj.:

ha! that's the only way to fly! and i'm going to SF & LA...
  3:53am
pmpff:

nice. i come from north of sf. take a drive along the "1".. & go to the beach in bolinas (most especially via the mt. tamalpais trail to the shore, if you got time to skip across the golden gate)
  3:59am
jj.:

right on, thx! think i remember that beach from a previous trip.

keep those california tune suggestions coming. will have some coming up in the next side, right after this requisite side-long japanese freakout.
  4:06am

pmphff:

sent the thomas jefferson kaye track-- not sure if that file type works for fmu.
  4:56am
jj.:

Awesome, yup! Got it! Stay tuned! (Though it seems to only b 1:15, is that right?)
  5:00am
phmphff:

ya, guess it won't be filling too much dead air! looking forward. haven't heard that track since.. northern california. !
  5:15am
phmphfff:

ha ha! thx, jesse
  5:19am
steve:

I forced myself to eat a quarter bag of pork rinds tonight... just for the experience. while I was stuffing the fried pork skins into my face I had thoughts of "this must be what human skin tastes like". it took so much salad to quiet this new-found knowledge and keep the experience from ruining my night. thumbs down, pork rinds!
  5:20am
jj.:

wow. this is a bummer, man. hopefully, some suitable out music will wash that taste right out. NOISE CLEANSE, go!!!!!!!!
  5:25am
Mr. B:

Happy trails, Mr. DJ - but you be careful out there, okay?

Shjips ahoy!
  5:32am
steve:

thanks for the good tunes! on a more positive note, it was the best, most appreciated salad I've had.
ps, sorry if that was a creepy, silence of the lambs type comment. it's late at night, what can you expect?
  5:44am
phmphfphf:

doth i hear the french horn in them creepy somewhereabouts, mine olde instrument?!
  5:45am
jj.:

yup! great ear! phmpfofhfhfhfhfhfhfhf! i'm pretty sure that's the source for all these noises.
  5:47am
phoinmhhj:

jeez in that case jesuh i think it's time to sell that instrument to the anthropologist who offered to buy it.. seriously! who can deny an offer such as that, to put officially into total.. DISUSE.
  5:52am
phonoinh:

just an aside, but that artist seems to have figured out what went wrong with that instrument-- how can it be adapted to the.. NEW AGE? I stopped playing it when I decided it wasn't worth putting a pickup on the bell or making any other adaptive gestures for the coming century which was, still, a ways off yet spelled immanent neglect for a baroque instrument
  5:55am
steve:

noise is the antidote. jump for joy
